Is Free Speech Under Attack in this Country?

The odd thing is that CNN is losing money and yet they continue to go down the same road of lie after lie after lie.
I never said they were good at their jobs, just that their jobs aren’t carrying out the communication priorities of the government, whether that’s social media companies “stopping disinformation” for Biden or CNN focusing on certain talking points for Kristi Noem.

No it’s carrying out the message of the globalists like Soros that owns the politicians.

It might be! But whether it is or not, the government shouldn’t be pushing them to instead do their bidding. Just as with Biden, this is bad, but not illegal behavior.

Trump isn’t doing that. He’s saying stop being exclusively negative when there are objective positives. You know exactly what outfits like cnn are doing. Stop pretending otherwise

This is quite literally the behavior I’m objecting to the government doing. Whether you think it’s a good thing or not for CNN to not cover positive stories for the Trump Administration is irrelevant to whether it’s appropriate or not for the Trump Administration to chastise CNN for doing so. For example, I think it’s good for social media companies to take steps to address genuine misinformation from spreading on their platforms, but I object to the government chastising them for not doing it.

It would be fine if cnn proved itself to be a neutral observer. But we all know that’s not the case despite upholding the guise of being neutral.

I’m suggesting from a governing standpoint it’s fine whether CNN is a neutral observer or not, just as it’s fine if Twitter or Facebook is enabling fake news or not. It doesn’t make them good companies, but it’s better when the government isn’t policing them.

more people ( not me, i don't stay up that late to watch TV) watched Kimmel's monologue than DJT inauguration.
Not even counting YouTube watches !

Which some would consider piling on.

I’ve never watched an inauguration in my life BUT

This isn’t remotely true

Not even a healthy fraction 6.2 is not more than 34.4 million

This is par for the course though

My favorite part of JD Vance as VP is that it’s pretty obvious when he’s saying shit he’s too smart to actually believe. He has a very specific delivery style when he’s defending these types of things where he gets very “aw shucks-y” and passive when he does it. His whole face and tone changes.

That is until he can get behind his keyboard and lecture us for our stupidity. As someone who also communicates much more confidently via text, I can sympathize with it.
