2025-2026 offseason thread

Perez is a FA so Murphy could make a lot of sense to them. His hip will be just fine by ST and he should be even better. Murphy and Nacho could get something nice from KC.

Murphy has 3 years 45m left. It’s not a bad contract and I don’t even mind keeping around at that price, but I imagine KC would just as soon keep Perez around than trade assets for Murphy’s contract

I'm perfectly fine keeping Murphy and have a good catching combo. I'm curious to see how they plan to handle DH and rotate players.

Dodgers are smart and they hire smart people to get the most out of the best players that they pay the most money
I was just wondering aloud. I do think making decisions for the dodgers is much more easy than other teams. The braves have had snicker though, so there's no way he's worse than him

According to you and many more on this board, anyone on planet earth could coach the talent Atlanta has, except Snitker. We’re about to find out so it shouldn’t really matter who they hire unless they rehire snit. Right? How many times this year did you guys say in game threads that anyone with a pulse or half a brain cell could win with this lineup? We will find out soon.

Snit had to go. He was not a great tactician, but was great with the players. Time for some young blood, but I have never had the opinion that Some of you have that being a MLB manager is easy and teams like the dodgers just go out there and win on talent alone. It is simply not true. There is more to being a manager then writing Ohtani and Freeman on a lineup card and then sitting In the dugout picking your nose on national tv. Even the best mangers ever have had seasons with tremendous lineups but couldn’t get the job done. There are so many factors that go into a 162 game season and it takes a talented individual to get it all working together and at the right time. Snitker was not stupid, He just never evolved his tactics over the years as the game progressed. He’s stubborn and set in his ways, which is more detrimental in my opinion.

I think most just thought snit was a moron bc he didn't use the data that's readily available to anyone with a cell phone and a data package. This year was tough bc of a lot of injuries and underperformance, but that doesn't excuse less than optimal decisions. Deciding the best batter to take the bat or pitcher to face what part of the lineup is a hell of a lot easier than actually taking the AB or pitching

Snitker has to feel like a failure somewhat, since none of his guys are being picked to continue the "Braves Way".
