2025-2026 offseason thread

Do we bring Tyler Kinley back for 5 million? His ERA was over 5 in Colorado but in over 20 appearances in ATL it was 0.72. Between Kinley, Johnson, and Bummer that's over 20 million to those 3.

i had assumed johnson was a lock to come back, but looking at his numbers he's actually been pretty underwhelming since the season we acquired him and i'm not sure he's worth $7 million. too bad bummer's guaranteed next season.

if we acquire multiple SP like we should and move lopez and holmes back to the pen it has a chance to be pretty good, although that's a lot of important guys coming off injury.

I see Bummer being traded.

A bunch of the guys in the top 10 of this list would be a good fit for the Braves.
I'm curious which way the Twins will go. As the article points out, they may try to augment the existing roster with the money they shedd at the deadline or they may just shed some more and go full rebuild. If they take the latter route, that would probably mean they would take offers on Lopez, Ryan, Jeffers, and Buxton. Price could be higher on these guys because their contracts extend beyond 2026.

I keep seeing people talking about trading the expensive reliever they don't like but it begs a question
I posted a tweet from one of the braves' guys about bummer a few weeks ago. It basically just pointed out that bummer was great as a reliever, but his numbers got inflated by snit extending him as an opener
