Will Smith was a great example of thatAs with everything in playoff baseball, you don't need a great anything, they just need to be great for 15-ish games. Any ballplayer can be great for 15 games.

Matzek gets most of the love for that post-season run, but Will Smith was virtually untouchable. Will Smith was a great example of that
Minter is the most unsung but he pitched multiple innings out of the bullpen after Morton got hurt and was dominant. Not too dissimilar to what he did in the 2020 NLCS vs the Dodgers.Matzek gets most of the love for that post-season run, but Will Smith was virtually untouchable.
Don't forget Jimenez.Do we bring Tyler Kinley back for 5 million? His ERA was over 5 in Colorado but in over 20 appearances in ATL it was 0.72. Between Kinley, Johnson, and Bummer that's over 20 million to those 3.
I see Bummer being traded.i had assumed johnson was a lock to come back, but looking at his numbers he's actually been pretty underwhelming since the season we acquired him and i'm not sure he's worth $7 million. too bad bummer's guaranteed next season.
if we acquire multiple SP like we should and move lopez and holmes back to the pen it has a chance to be pretty good, although that's a lot of important guys coming off injury.
A bunch of the guys in the top 10 of this list would be a good fit for the Braves.MLBTR just released their list of trade candidates. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/11/mlb-rumors-top-trade-candidates-offseason.html
Since most of the good FA SPs will have QOs attached, it seems likely AA will add an arm from this list. Keller and Gray seem most likely to me.
I'm curious which way the Twins will go. As the article points out, they may try to augment the existing roster with the money they shedd at the deadline or they may just shed some more and go full rebuild. If they take the latter route, that would probably mean they would take offers on Lopez, Ryan, Jeffers, and Buxton. Price could be higher on these guys because their contracts extend beyond 2026.A bunch of the guys in the top 10 of this list would be a good fit for the Braves.
I see Bummer being traded.
Not about not liking him. More about they have a lot of needs to fill and might could find a realistic trade partner.I keep seeing people talking about trading the expensive reliever they don't like but it begs a question

97.4% of fans think the GM can just trade away any player they don’t like, as if the other team doesn’t have to want the player and his contract.I keep seeing people talking about trading the expensive reliever they don't like but it begs a question
I posted a tweet from one of the braves' guys about bummer a few weeks ago. It basically just pointed out that bummer was great as a reliever, but his numbers got inflated by snit extending him as an openerI keep seeing people talking about trading the expensive reliever they don't like but it begs a question
