Couple with the fact now that you can't be able bodied and receive benefits for long (THANKS OBBB!) these people will find work.

Maybe they'll be a waiter or bus boy making an honest living. I dont' care but its not going to be some bullshit government job anymore and thats a GREAT THING! Libertarians used to believe this.....

The benefits are of the Trump admin are starting to be too much to ignore for voters as we are seeing the polling rebound. 2026 is going to be a rocketship and come midterms - they'll love Trump and Rebublicans.

But remember, this all started with the OBBB that EVERYONE on this board hated.

Why aren't prices going up by the COGS percentage of tariffed rates then?

I figured we would eventually hear the economy is doing well but the tariffs are making it not do so well as opposed to 'Tariffs will destroy the economy'. Same energy of "Of course Trump is going to win but someone else would have won by more"

So when 26 is an amazing year by all standards what will be the reason?

This is one leg of Trumps economic agenda that will be incredible for Americans.

I'm sure you were against the OBBB but these fired federal workers have no safety net in perpetuity so they will be pushed into private sector. Fortunately, one of Trumps other policies which is kicking illegals out of the country taking Americans jobs is going to provide ample opportunity for these federal workers to enter the private workforce.
 
I will point out that 2 days ago thethe said trump trading chips to China was in the bucket of "i dont agree with everything he does" and yesterday he evolved to "bigger plan. Great outcome "

There is a bigger plan. I’m not someone who gives up when I don’t get all that I want.

Facts are facts. We are decoupling with China. We are building alternative supply routes. We are deporting third world animals. We are reducing federal workforce. Real wages for Americans are going up.

What exactly am I supposed to be angry about?

Are we sending them the best chips. What about IP theft which is the real driver of them catching up.

These are negotiations with a super power that we are unfortunately deeply interconnected with because people who are aligned with many of your world economic views got their way.

Again, I don’t give up when I don’t get all that I want. I’m getting so Much of it that I’m thrilled.

I dunno man seems pretty short sighted to give up our main technology advantage in exchange for some soy beans but im just a mid iq guy

Anyhow... our trade deficit with China has gotten larger

China’s share of exports to the US dropped dramatically. What you’re seeing is China buying less from us. Some would say this is a decoupling.

Tech advances so fast these chips will be archaic in six months.
