Why would I care about money that is passed around various state governemtns? I'm happy if they are receiving hte benefit despite if they are leftist or not.

Me too. I support helping my toothless fellow Americans.

Moreover, I admire immigrants who come here and work hard and spend their money on their families. No matter where their families are located.

That's one view. The research is more supportive of the view that immigrants are complements to American workers. On balance, they increase job and income growth for native-born Americans.

why would we tax or charge a premium on something that benefits Americans

reminder: a tax reduces the activity that is being taxed

immigration provides massive benefits: purely on cost-benefit grounds we should be subsidizing it and finding ways to encourage it

Sending money to a foreign country benefits Americans?

They should then go back to their home country and the massive increase in labor force participation will take up that job while the money stays here.

I said immigration benefits Americans

But what other people do with their money is something I try to respect and stay out of. Sending it to their home country to help their families strikes me as noble thang to do. But it is none of my business.

The incentive here being not doing Trump’s flagship trade policy in his district specifically. Maybe time to consider whether or not that policy is worth holding on to.

An absolutely winning electoral argument for the people one district over whose businesses are getting fucked by tariffs and voted for the tariffs to stay in place without being coerced.
 
Printing money to give immigrants welfare so they can send money to another country is good for Americans. You can’t make this stuff up.
