Sure. And we have a formal system of transfers where money goes from California and NY to places like Mississippi, Alabama and West Virginia. It is something I support.

Why would I care about money that is passed around various state governemtns? I'm happy if they are receiving hte benefit despite if they are leftist or not.

Me too. I support helping my toothless fellow Americans.

Moreover, I admire immigrants who come here and work hard and spend their money on their families. No matter where their families are located.
