Gay Marriage - blacks perspective

What legislatively constitutes "help the black race?"
Because historically there has been a group standing in the way of anything of substance
Outside of making laws with teeth this is merely pseudo-intellectual masturbation made of platitudes and pie in the sky rhetoric

If you would please comment on Obama's Job initiative of 2011 or how defeating the Farm Bill "help the black race?"

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present you the head sheep of the Democrat/Liberal party.

Gosh, you have your head stuck so far up his ass, you can probably tell what he had for breakfast.

His initiative means diddly squat. It is all political talk as he did not delve into it further, nor has he curb or tried to do other things, like violence, deadbeat dads, education. But he did get mad at black pastors/preachers and priests for objecting to gay marriage more importantly from the state he was at Illinois. They still are.
Maybe he should spend more time helping blacks than hurting them. Why don't you explain to my cousin who lost her job and tried for two years to get another and no more benefits, living in a basement of her mom's home. She ask for Obama to see their plight, she ask the black leaders, not a single one wanted to help. Fend for yourself they say. She would do it but she needs help getting started but there is none. Sterling said something correct, a lot of blacks will not help with their own, which is true, they look to the church to help them, which they do up to a certain point.

NJC108 knows what I am talking about and a very proud black woman as well that I respect. She knows the story because she has lived it and said it on here.

Wow AA. i just asked a question -- that you avoid answering

Things never do change -- do they?
/////////////////////

Again
What constitutes "help the black race?"

What do you think Obama should do about dead beat dads or curbing violence?
Is this before or after he averts war with Russia over Ukraine or before or after he spends " more time helping blacks?"

Not sure what your expectations are and calling me names or speculating the location of my noggin --- is not answering the questions
///////////////////////

Asking for specifics. If you can't provide them well, I'll assume you don't know what you are talking about (which is a way different and far more civil response)

Asking for specifics. If you can't provide them well, I'll assume you don't know what you are talking about

1. You are right, Russia problem should be number one.
2. He can quit fighting the black leaders on gays/abortion and what not as he is not going to change their mind on that. That issue is immaterial compared to no jobs, kids out of wedlock and lack of education.
3. He needs to have contact with black leaders/church pastors to set up a plan to stop what has plague my race for a hundred or so years. Enacting a bill he does not care about is not doing anything if he doesn't get his feet dirty and force the issue.
4. He could talk to the inner city schools about teaching the kids and not be a babysitter and collecting a pay check. The horror stories I heard from the Chicago grade and middle schools made my blood curl. The parents exactly said that "teachers are acting like baby sitters not teachers" Said teachers get paid upwards of 70k a year to sit on their ass.
5. Even though the Republicans will stop him, he needs to do something about the jobs that blacks are losing to outsourcing and the banks are not going to help them retrain. So I suggest a government workshop to teach job skills for jobs that stay in the country. Before you Sturg or any other conservative come here and say government does too much, what is your alternative that doesn't cost a thing. People with no money cannot go to college especially with it's rising cost. Would you rather pay for the welfare or pay them to better themselves so they don't have to be on welfare.
6. I know this won't happen but should, if you have a second kid out of wedlock and do not know who the father is, sorry, mandatory permanent but reversible birth control. Jerry Springer and Maury can help in that department since they are good at finding the fathers. For the guys, you have a kid and not pay for it, you get the same treatment.

Seriously, he needs to spend time in the community who gave him over 90% of the vote. He just give token appearances/token law measures now and then to keep the sheep from baying louder.

1) We agree -- that is a start

2) What job initiative should he back that he hasn't? What can he do besides provide himself as a role model. His job is to enforce the will of congress and uphold the constitution
He was once a community organizer which, is pretty much the person that leads/organizes these talks on dead beat dads and out of wedlock pregnancies -- would you agree?
I sense you want a cheerleader and not a President

3) Presidents of the United States have far different responsibilities that what Sarah Palin mocks as "community organizer"
The First Lady has spoken on these issues. Had you lived in the 60's would you have wanted LBJ picking up trash on the roadsides? Or Kennedy personally going to Mississippi to
escort black students to their first day of college.

4) The POTUS has a Secretary of Education that has spoken on this issue. You could look it up. His name is Arne Duncan

5) (R) controlled House of Rep has blocked or cut the programs you speak. They control the money - without the money these things do not get done

6) We can not and will not sterilize people based on their economic status. That notion is laughable - even if it was ever going to happen
//////////////////

Agree with him on issues or not I've alwaysthought Obama's toughest competition is expectaions of ---Obama. From all sides -- he won't win.

He spent time working in the community after college - then spent 8 years in the Illinois House . Pretty much working on the issues you speak. You can look that up too

Of course he did, but the problem as gotten worse not better when he was in that position.

Let me put it bluntly. As soon as he carried the mantle he has, he got his, why would he care about "us". He is a shaker, player, his status is godhood for him. yes being half black and the first president is good, but why stop there, make a name for yourself, not a dolt. You are right he can't do much, but it not like he is trying as well and he isn't. Basically he got elected and just turned his head toward his own people. That's the bottom line.

Quickly, here are my thoughts on gay marriage - whites perspective:

We have differing perspectives.

How do you know what he is trying to do and what he isn't. There was one Saturday night he announced they got binLaden - no one even realized he was in the sights. We have no idea what he discusses and doesnt behind closed doors. Or who he meets or what he has done behind the scenes.

To speculate and come to some kind of conclusion is sophomoric

I try to give people more credit than being nothing but a member of a monolith. I am sure there are plenty of Africans that have no care about gender rights as well there are caucasions.

This is a stupid / divisive thread

Don't you think Obama could at least. 'Shoot' on the black race? Tell them to stay in school, quit shooting each other, quit having kids out of wedlock etc That would at least mean that he cares about the blacks in the inner cities, which he doesn't by the way.

Pretty sure he has. Why don't you Google Obama Stay in School and see what comes up.
Every politician of color is expected to jump through that hoop early on.

Weren't you one of the ones that mocked the Beer Summit ???
Aren't you one of the ones that pans ACA - where there are provisions addressing some of the issues you bring up
Are you one of those people that advocates dissolving Planned Parenthood?

Your history here is you talk out of both sides of your mouth - worst part is, you don't intend to!

Can you name a qualified conservative black male who can be president? One who has experience in politics?

Didn't think so.

Tim Scott will be there one day, but not now.

Well with the qualifications for a US president being of the age of 35 and a US Born Citizen, I think there are plenty of qualified black men and women who could be president.

Only person in the world who actually is qualified to be a US president are Jimmy Carter, George Bush the Elder, and if he becomes prime minister of the UK Boris Johnson.

Thought you were going to give a name? Can you name one that the GOP would support, rally behind and elect? There's not one. Tim Scott is the only one who has a chance one day. He has a future as long as he stands firm and doesn't give in.

No, Obama has never held black people accountable or tried to help them. 'Stay in school' has been said by every person in power of every race. It's a meaningless statement.

How has Tim Scott distinguished himself out side of the color of his skin with an (R) behind his name..

Has he made any policy speeches of note?
or
Sponsored legislation?

Brcause from where I sit his only electoral quality is being black.
That my friends is text book dare I say ---- racism

Can I name someone the GOP would nominate? Nope because they wouldn't nominate a black person unless they were throwing a hail mary cause they were on pace to get raped.

Yeah, you are. Who do you think makes it that way, people like you Mr. Magoo.

But you aren't black so you don't understand, all you want for them is to stay on the gov ledger and give you free votes, that is the only thing that matters to you. I know Republicans are in the most part racist to an extent but the liberals are worse, they are like crack dealers/pimps, give you some freebies if you stay with us. Let see, roof over my head and mouth to feed compared to my religious views that go against my church. Wow that is a tough question, but I need to eat and keep the rain off my head so I will vote that way.

Lastly, I do not need credit from a crack dealer like you. You disgust me with your views to be honest. A sheep with a wolfs head is what I see.

I might be black = or the Queen of England -- hard to tell some days

Here AA --

Obama knows nothing, sees nothing, and hears nothing unless his lapdogs bark, then his ears perk up. Not exactly using a hunting dog to flush out the truth, is he? Kind of reminds me of that famous Will Rogers quote: “All I know is just what I read in the papers, and that’s an alibi for my ignorance.”
The head of a government that has the most sophisticated spying apparatus ever created can monitor who we talk to, what we talk about, how many twinkies our kids eat and the calories we consume, where we travel, etc. etc., yet announces our President’s daily Intelligence report is actually prepared by Matt Drudge. Hmmm. Perhaps the NSA should take out ads in the sports section to assure the President reads his morning Intelligence briefing.
Here’s a quick video of our Community Organizer-in-Chief explaining his lack of knowledge of the nation’s major scandals, using his favorite convenient excuse and perhaps also saying much about his management skills with a dysfunctional, disinterested staff. What do you think?

Tim Scott may not be as vitriol and stupid as Allen West, but politically I have no doubts he was picked to fill in for Demint to show black people in the South "hey the Republican Party has room for black people too! See we aren't racist!!!" And I'm not speaking in general about GOP voters, I'm speaking about the machine and the guys behind closed doors that are trying to "diversify" the GOP. Preibus and Rove see that the GOP is on the verge of losing ethnic minorities for a LONG LONG LONG time with the current cast of clowns in charge running for President in 2016. The past 4 years of coded language against the President caught up to them, as they thought they could use white fear to unseat Obama and elect Romney. Georgia and SC are too of the closest states in the deep south to becoming purple since they have plenty of highly concentrated areas of urban population. Georgia might be the first in the deep south to vote blue soon. Don't think GOP leaders don't see that... which is exactly why Tim Scott was picked and exactly why they kept bringing up the fact Haley was Indian-AMerican. Oh and let's not forget she had people in her own Party in SC use the race card against her. LOL

Scott isn't a loudmouth, all he has to do is not really do anything and he can keep his seat for a long time holding (R) in South Carolina.

Fox News holds Ben Carson on a pedestal because he can be "the black guy" that can sound reasonable. It's funny because Michael Steel was that GOP Black Guy in the late 2000's. When Obama was elected, there were voices in the GOP that said "Why not Michael Steele"? Republican Governor of Maryland that happens *cough* to be black *cough*. He won them the House in 2010, then he gets fired and he no longer can hold back what he thinks about the Tea Party and the extremists and now he's an outcast and replaced by a huge idiot like Preibus. GOP LOVED Michael Steele... now that he's a contributor for MSNBC the mainstream GOP has kind of forgotten about him.

Allen West was only loved by the Tea Party because he didn't have to use coded language to attack the President and Pelosi because he was "black". They used him to get West to say what they've REALLY REALLY wanted to say all along about POTUS and Pelosi.

Jindal was supposed to be "one of the new leaders" to fight against Obama in 2009. They hyped him up because he wasn't a middle aged white guy in the South. They gave him the Republican Response to Presidential Address, and people found out once he opened his mouth he was just a boring guy. Then over the years people started to realize he was just a typical old deep south Republican in an Indian guy's body.

I'd bet everything that if Bobby Jindal and Ted Cruz used their real names running for office (Piyush Jindal) and (Rafael Cruz), that many voters in their own party would have turned against them since their real names sounded like illegals. Bobby and Ted... hmm where do those names sound familiar? Bobby & Ted or Piyush & Rafael.

I don't understand AA. So you're conservative but you aren't a Republican? Please explain it to us again.

How the GOP Can Reach Out to Black America

The Republican Party actually has a lot to offer black voters.

By Jamelle Bouie

Um no, I am not a Conservative, nor I am a Liberal and even more I am not a Libertarian. That has been established a long time ago.

Blacks for the most part lean left on monetary issues which I do in some instances, but lean right on religious/morale issues which I do heavily. This article is one of the reasons why.
