I'm largely sticking with guys who seem like Roster Locks. Though you're right I should have included Pepi, he should make the squad, that's an oversight on my behalf. But Musah probably won't make it even though he's really talented.

You realize most of the country does. DEI is not about killing meritocracy, it's about including people who may not get looked at because everyone involved is white and male. If those people cannot hack it then they'll be fired and replaced.

Similarly, I hope MAGA applies its renewed admiration for meritocracy by treating people as individuals in all contexts, rather than as representations of statistical abstractions when convenient.

I'm layering in an initial evaluation to risk access future actions. Like any reasonable person would make if they were serious about things like reducing crime when the statistics overwhelmingly show a proper solution.

It's cute you think this way, but there are qualified people who don't get opportunities because they're not part of specific niches. Anyone who's worked any amount in corporate America would know that. DEI doesn't solve the issue, nothing will solve that. but it does add a layer of complexity that can lead to uplifting people who weren't granted an opportunity because of their gender, skin tone, wealth, etc. Personally I wish we just fired more people, but that's hard to do. How many incompetent executives exist in the world that we can't just fire them to oblivion and replace them. But we all know corporate america is a hellish circle jerk, and I'm for adding wrinkles to that.

If every job was hired based solely on merit, ther ewould be no need for DEI. But we know this isn't the case. How many shitty people get jobs because their father, grandfather, school they went to because of family connections, etc. I'm pro meritocracy, but I know that the current American work force is not based on that.

This is nonsense - Corporations go through hoops to try to get more diversity. If you worked in corporate America at all you'd know that.

Businesses should possess the right to hire as many incompetent executives as they want. It's their business and if they want to run it poorly, they should have that right to do that.

And in corporate America, those executives have to answer to board members and share holders.
