This was a fairly encouraging start for Elder. Creating more separation on his pitches is going to help him sequence better.

Also, the sinker is dropping and getting more run

Last year: 8 iVB, 14 HB

Today: 7 iVB, 15 HB

FA and SL shape are noticeably different.

Fastball sat around 93-94.

Albies had a .770 OPS in the 2nd half last year. That coincides with his wrist getting its strength back. If his wrist is back to 100% from his end of season injury, I believe he’ll be fine.
