that seems rushed unless they want him working with someone
It's possible he's working on specific pitches and we're not necessarily interested in overall results. He needs to get those walks down. 7.84 bb9, wow
Think his IVB was like 20" on the fastball though, so it might play upIs Murphy's velocity on the average fastball any better than it has been? It's not going to work if not.

I don't think what he was working with last time I saw an average velo (very low 90s) has a prayer.Velocity by itself isn't all that relevant.
Plenty of successful pitchers throwing low 90sI don't think what he was working with last time I saw an average velo (very low 90s) has a prayer.

I read he was up to 96 last start. Don’t know details thoughI don't think what he was working with last time I saw an average velo (very low 90s) has a prayer.
He was but that is certainly an anomaly. Murphy will have games where all of his pitches are moving. That's his bread and butter. It's more critical for him than any velocity he can throw. He cannot live at the top of the zone with any pitch. None. Zero. Zilch. I like Murphy but I think he's the type of pitcher that when things go south...it's not pretty. That said...he's growing. He needs time.I read he was up to 96 last start. Don’t know details though

Hope the better rankings still means ROY candidates every year.FG Prospects chat was generally glowing on the braves system.
Mentioned a few specifically but said that Atlanta's system had likely taken the biggest step forward of any minors club.
Obviously early, and you'd like to see it mid year.
