Acuña expected back this week too. We're gonna have a full powered lineup.

I'm pretty sure it's going to be Farmer and Jarvis going down. Mateo is one of the fastest players in baseball.

Yeah - they are gonna keep Mateo- he’s our best pinch runner - he’s a weapon.

We've really seen the benefit of enhanced depth this season. Dubon is a solid, glove-first super-utility guy who's hitting above his head, Mateo is a speed merchant and solid defensive middle infielder without much of a bat and Heim (RIP) was just a veteran third catcher. But being able to fill lineup spots with vaguely competent major league players instead of Chadwick Tromp and Stuart Fairchild makes a big difference. And that's with a string of injuries that really strained that depth.

Or White has a concussion and is going on the seven-day concussion IL, with Kim joining the team. So they punt the decisions a little longer but look a bit light on the OF now (though I guess Farmer has six career innings in LF …).

Not sure where he’d play, but I guess you find a way to make room for a hitter like Yordan Álvarez.

I would assume they are utilizing the concussion IL on White so they can keep Farmer on the bench a few more days. He'll be snatched up quickly when he is DFA'd by a team that needs depth. And in the event someone else gets hurt in the next 7 days, then we don't lose a decent bench piece.
