GDT 5/13/26: Braves vs Cubs - What Does Farmer Have To Do?

Thought tonight would've been MHII being DH'ed to get him off his feet while having Dubon and Mateo in the OF. Or at least DHing Kyle Farmer. I know Heim isn't anything special, but why is Farmer still here when he can't even get a game like this?

With the rookie going, you think you'd put the best lineup out there vs. a tough LHP.

Hey man, I always meant to ask you about this.

I remember sometime back we had a thread that basically asked what was the furthest that any of us ever made it to the show.

And I want to say that you said that you'd managed to climb your way up that ladder pretty far, except for injuries.

And I was wondering if you could just expound and expand on that🙌

Didn’t get far due to those injuries. I was drafted in out of high school by the Pirates in 1991. It was in the late rounds and I decided to go to college. In my Junior year I blew out both knees in a collision at home plate (I was a catcher) and never played again. I played against Billy Wagner. He was at Ferrum in Virginia and they were in our conference. My American legion team had both Trot Nixon and Quinton McCracken.

I also did some college coaching and some minor league coaching in Fayetteville for a few years. Nothing major

Played Legion and High School vs Matt Weiters and Justin Smoak when they were on the same team at Stratford...also against Brett Gardner when he was DA...that was a
Really good time for baseball in Charleston.
 
Not trying to sound racist here....I don't think I have ever seen a LH Japanese pitcher before lol....especially in MLB...am I wrong here.
