Radio duo that had been with the station 13 years was fired for discussing a local issue that was passed allowing municipal (Rochester)benefits to cover transgender medical costs. Anyone hear the audio? Nothing bad, but apparently you can't even discuss issues in the media or you get canned. Kimberly and Beck I think is the name.

Ummmmm, maybe there's nothing bad if you agree with their POV. It's really ****ed up though. They could have done this in a better discussion.

Mossy, I am afraid it will be awhile even beyond legalization in all 50 states... I'd think it'll still be a reoccurring story until public disapproval is driven underground.

Yeah, I know. I can't judge gays as I simply just can't relate. I just don't think we need to get a Fox News Alert (or CNN story) about every single gay wedding. I'm sorry, it's personal, not newsworthy.

I don't have a point of view. I am not a listener of that station in any way shape or form. The caller was incorrect (perceived as a transgender person) and when told they were wrong pulls the "it's disrespectful" card on the phone.

You can't desire to "have a conversation on a topic " and then just deem everything said "offensive".
