FIFA World Cup 2014

US is through wanted that win though. Hell of an effort from the Yanks. Despite the rough draw, Jozy being out, and playing the best team in the World (JMO) a 1-0 loss to Germany is quality for the USA.

All I have to say is **** all the Klinsmann haters.

Maybe, but if my Aunt had balls she'd be my uncle. US was missing Jozy who's highly important. I would argue that Jozy is at least as important as Coentrau if not more. Pepe being out may have benefited portugal with the US possesion as he's likely to concede a penalty.

In the end, all I have to say is 2 things first

I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN

and lastly

USA AIN'T NOTHIN TO **** WITH!!!!
 
You can't be pleased with how they advanced. Backing in because Ghana choked can't instill a bunch of confidence? Tell me Zito that you are satisfied with how the made it.

Yup. Germany is arguably the best team in the world and we hung tough. They had 3 real chances all match.

We need to bring our A game against Belgium. US has a chance to do something legendary.

BTW CONCACAF deserves some credit, none were predicted to advance, US advanced out of the group of death, Mexico bested Croatia, and COsta Rica won the Group of Champions.

Yes I am. We beat Ghana, we beat portugal for 94 minutes, and we hung tough against arguably the best team in the world. Hell ****ing yeah I'm satisfied. Ghana was not favored vs Portugal. If anyone choked it was portugal.

I was concerned after the Ghana game but we dominated Portugal and like you said played well against a tough opponent. What did Ghana/Portugal do to make htem more worthy than the US? Nothing...

It's just trolls being trolls. US should have been through on Sunday if not for a miracle goal. Hell today if Muller didn't make a perfect shot or Lahm didn't beast it back the US may have drawn the current European favorite to advance, after playing in the Amazon on shorter rest. The game today was stacked against the Yanks and we showed up and put in our best effort.

I would honestly say that no one sucked today. Sure lots of people could have played better and we were obviously bested, but no one obviously sucked. Besler and Gonzilla put on a show in the back. Beasley and Johnson made mistakes thatn great plays. Same thing with our 3 central midfielders. Zusi and Davis were fine, unfortunately we never got a shot to showcase Davis's mighty left foot. Dempsey didn't really have a chance to do anything because of how dominant the Germans were. Wish that we had Green play with Yedlin to really stretch the German slow back 4. France I think will give the Germans issues.

Portugual drew against US. Lost to Germany and beat Ghana. Sound familiar? What did US do to make them more worthy? Yes I understand the goal difference is the tie-breaker.
 
I think satisfied is the right word. We've played pretty well, but could have been way better. Still way too many mental lapses on the back end. Only way I'd be "pleased" would be to have won all three. But I'm definitely satisfied and proud of how far the team has come since the first World Cup I watched in 1998.

I don't know if they'll win the tournament, but Germany is going to be extremely difficult to top.

Well they had to be given five minutes and the U.S. gift wrapping one goal and falling asleep on the other. And they got their **** rocked by Germany. We had a real chance to beat Germany today. The ref pissed on two potential breakaways, and we got really close at the end. We're a better team than Portugal.

Germans have weaknesses as every team does. but they're extremely dangerous offensively and in possession. They're weak on counters though a physically dominant team could exploit them. I think that Brazil/Germany will be a fantastic semi final if the Germans can get France who'll also play them tough.

I wouldn't say that we're a better team overall than Portugal but we absolutely had the better tournament. Considering it took a terrible play by Ghana for Ronaldo to score.
