Kaeperdick gonna throw for 200 yards per game this year?

Yes. And does even need to? I will answer. No he doesn't. They will make the playoffs weather he averages 200 yards a game or not. Obviously the the better he performs will have a direct impact on the overall success of the team. 49ers defense will take a step back. Bowman is hurt and Aldon deserves a suspension. Secondary is way too young and there will be a learning curve for sure.

Right now I would say they are third best in the conference behind Seattle and New Orleans. Slightly better than Green Bay at this point. New Orleans might be a tad better, but we all remember that the 49ers beat them in the Super Dome last season save for that blatant Brees gets a call and a first down play.

I just don't see how the offense isn't dynamic next year. I agree the defense will take a step back but it will be mostly early in the year as the young kids get some work in. Lets not forget that when Willis went down Wilhoite did very well and I expect him to provide a tolerable replacement while Bowman recovers. All the young talent from last years defense (Tank/Lemonier/Reid) are all a year older and will be better.

The only reason why the offense might not be great is Greg Roman and his play calling. The players are there and assuming everyone fits in well like they have, the offense should roll. Like I said months ago. This season really is Super Bowl or bust. And I mean winning the Super Bowl this time.

Defense will be good still. Like you alluded to the first few weeks will probably see a different defense than we've been accustomed to. That is expected. In years past it's always been the offense picking up the slack for the defense. Initially it will be the offense doing the work and bailing out the defense. Also it is put up or shut up time for Kaepernick. That offensive line and Gore, Hunter, and Hyde in the stables should be able to run the ball pretty well. If VD decides he isn't an ultra douche and his focus is in winning the Super Bowl then he should be great as well. Crabtree, Boldin, and Johnson may be the best receiving core in football. Excuses are long gone for Colin.

All that being said they just need to get in the playoffs. Winning the west would be great, but they proved last season they can win in the playoffs on the road. Won in Lambeau and Charlotte. Won the game for about 50 minutes in Seattle, but in the end they lost it. I don't do moral victories, but the NFC Championship game at least showed the team that they can compete in Seattle.

I agree that Kaep needs to have a better season throwing the football. Aside from the games last year where he had Boldin and nothing else he was pretty good. His favorite target should play the whole season and he has new toys to play with. Kaep will have a big time year.

Report from Adam Schefter is saying the Cowboys are releasing Kyle Orton. So that, O-Line really needs to step up and make sure Romo stays healthy.

I would bet anything I have that it won't be.

SF/Sea are the two best teams in football/NFC, not a lock by any means but i'd feel good saying thats the NFCCG next season.

Saints and Packers will be in the mix though.

No one knows with the NFL. Ravens in 2012, Giants in 2011, Cardinals in 08, Giants in 07, and many other times has there been someone in the Superbowl, much less the NFCCG who didn't belong.

Any team in hte NFC could make it the NFCCG. Infact very good chance that the Niners or Seahawks will not make th eplayoffs with the uncertainty of the NFL.

Not very bullish on Carolina. They have to piece meal a secondary again, and don't have much to throw to. Also their OL is a huge downgrade over last year.

Plus their RBs are a year older , and Stewart can't stay healthy.

I don't think Carolina will be as good as they were last year. But they were really good last year. Their defense was scary good.

It isn't a given that forty whiners even make the playoffs. They play in a tough division The Cardinals are much improved as well and were one of the best teams in football the 2nd half of last season. I wouldn't be suprised to see San Fran sitting at home come January.

Teams that make the playoffs don't make the playoffs sometimes because another team made the playoffs instead of them. - Zito

Another one of your logic gems. You are truly the Plato of this generation. Yeah there's really a "very good chance" that the Niners or Seahawks don't make the playoffs. Two of the most stacked teams in football have a very good chance of not making the playoffs. Do you even hear yourself talk? There's no way they miss the playoffs outside of their QB's getting injured.

Zito still holding out hope that the Falcons won't absolutely suck this year again.

Who knows what happens in the course of a year. I forget the stat but it's at least 33% of the teams from one post season don't make the next. For example from 2012 til 2013 the following teams missed the playoffs, Falcons, Ravens, Texans, Redskins, Vikings which is 5/12 of the pool. From 11 to 12 Steelers, Lions, Giants and Saints. From 10 to 11 Eagles, Bears, Seahawks, Jets, Colts, and Chiefs. NFL is full of turnover. Could both of them make the playoffs? Of course. Could they miss it? Of course.

IF they Falcons are healthy they'll be in the mix. Greatly improved OL, Julio Jones back, hopefully a healthy Roddy White, stronger DL, only area they didn't for sure improve was pass rush and LBs cause of Spoon's injury.

Directv will be selling the NFl Sunday ticket w/0 the need to subscribe to directv. That's big news for cord cutters.

A $199.99 subscription will grant access via Sunday Ticket apps on mobile devices and personal computers, while access on gaming consoles will require a $239.99 subscription. The most expensive tier, at $329.99, combines the two and adds access to Red Zone and the new Fantasy Zone channel.

according to footballoutsiders, the Niners had the 13th best defense and the 8th best offense last year. Not a big stretch to think they may not make the playoffs next year.
