My only complaint about our hitting coaches. What exactly are they telling Simmons..or are they telling him anything?

Wren has to put on his vegas visor and try decide if he should gamble on the offense cranking it up the last 2 months of the season and purchase 2 RP's or figure the O will continue to struggle and go get a front line SP. (if there is one available). He has 6 days to decide.

They aren't telling him anything. If he keeps attempting to progress under this philosophy, we can start calling him Alex Gonzalez Simmons.

No question you go for it. The future is bright regardless and we have the money to make a splash. Not many options out there but go after Peavy, and get Russell and call it a day. Sign Peavy to an extension in the offseason. I still rate Peavy as no worse than #2 starter and if you get him back in the NL, watch out.
