REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Uh, "worthless"? Stop zito. He drew a lot of attention that Maclin won't draw. Cooper was NOT covered consistently last year, and it wasn't because he's really fast or good at getting open.
It is funny to see giles all of a sudden begin to overrate that basket case Desean though.

DJax had a great year and drawed lots of attention from the defense.

I believe he had 80+ catches, 1300+ yards, 10+ TD's.

Thats a pretty good year and the Eagles will miss him.

Foles will likely regress some, to what extent, is to TBD.

DeMarcus Lawrence breaks his foot. Tough break Dallas. Injuries are sure striking early and often it seems.

Sjax already messed up a hammy.

THere are things to be concerned about but there's things to be optimistic about. Falcons are in it as much as any team in the NFC when the truth is told.

laughable

Falcons are not on Sea/SF/GB level. Maybe not even on NO level.

You clearly don't get football. I can list plenty of pre-season top picks who crashed out and didn't make the post season. Falcons are in the mix they're as in the mix as anyone else. There's a famous saying in the NFL about any given sunday, anyone can lose games they should have won on paper.

If you think the quality of talent on the Falcons is on the same level as those three/four teams I mentioned then you don' tknow as much about football as I thought you did.

All 3 of those teams could fall out of the playoffs. Falcons could make it. Falcons are in the mix for the playoffs, get in the playoffs and you're in the mix to win it all.

Relax thethe.

Sure thing...all three of those teams will fall out. The NFC champ is going to be one of those 3 teams and possibly NO. You can mark it down now.

Games are won/lost up front, Falcons arent as good as the other top teams up front.

Nor are they are Sea/SF/GB/NO level.

Falcons are strong across the front. They made 3 big signings and 2 high draft picks on the line. Unless several of them fail they're fine up front. Add Julio + Ryan and **** gets real.

Fun stats on previous NFC champs

Starting with the Bears in 2006. In 2005 the Bears were the division champs at 11-5, in 2007 they were 7-9 and missed the playoffs. In 2007 the Giants won the NFC after being 8-8 in 2006 and went to be even better record of 12-4 in 2008. 2008 Cardinals won the NFC with a 9-7 record after being 8-8 then going onto be 10-6. Saints won the NFC in 2009 after being 8-8 in 2008, went on to finish a worse 11-5 and lose the division but get in on the Wild Card. 2011 Giants won the NFC at 9-7 after being 10-6 in 10 Then went 9-7 the following year. We all know that the Niners went on to a productive season before and after. Seahawks much improved.

Truth with the NFL is that you don't know. You can make your best guess but it's just that a guess, you have no clue who will win the NFC. No one thought the Giants would beat the Pats.

Thats BS for both years.

Are you ****ting me? Sure the second time around people thought they had a shot because of the upset they pulled. But you're lying if you thought or think there was more than a delusional giants fan who'd stop the Pats from going perfect.
