What part of you can't predict injuries do you not get? There are hundreds of examples of players being labeled injury prone that end up never getting hurt again. There are guys that don't get hurt that break legs.

If you think a broken hand by love means he's more likely to get injured this year, I don't know what to tell you.

There absolutely are players who are more susceptible to injury. It's genetics for effs sake.

So you believe that someones genetics makes their bones/ligaments stronger?

Yes, I believe everything about a person is programmed from your genes. Just because we don't fully understand the human genome doesn't mean that this isn't true. Everything we are is based on sequencing of DNA.

Man, what a great trade for the T-Wolves. They got two #1 overall picks plus a late first round pick for Love....a guy who would never sign long term with them.

No giles, we're all built exactly the same. That's why we all have the same eye sight and hearing as well.

Because that's the same thing for sure.

I guess if Kevin Love sprains his ankle, he is more likely to break his hand.

No, its the same genetics that cause him to be more predisposed to breaking both. How many years straight does he have to get injurred to understand this?

And why is it hard to believe that your genetic composition affects the composition of your bone structure?

DNAFit is a sports genetic testing company that has developed a revolutionary way to see how athletes predispositions give them an advantage or disadvantage. The DNA testing results, run by Keith Grimaldi who is DNAFit’s chief scientific officer, are helping Jenny Meadows, 32, in preparation for the upcoming Commonwealth and European games. Meadows talked about the findings and how they were impacting her future.

“The DNA profile does show I am prone to tendon injuries which I didn’t really know, so maybe I could have changed things in my training. Instead of going out running on the road maybe I would have done more cross-training or work in the pool.”

The science is clearly in its infant stages but based on what we have learned about how life is programmed its seems crazy to me that you could believe that genetic predisposition to injury doesn't exist.

Doesn't mean those guys will always be hurt but the percentage chance does increase.
