Ferguson....

so, he was stopped for jaywalking

so, the cops story is this then, he was stopped for jaywalking > approached the cop car > attempted to steal his gun > cop kills the kid

interesting theory

lol...come on now

On a vacant building next door, someone had used red-orange paint to write: "The only good cop is a dead cop."

Yeah...excellent mindset

free speech is awesome

guess it is another one of the rights the tea party militia/fools don't care to protect these days either

well, unless you are white that is

they are reporting that cause the police chief is saying it live, right now in a press conference

Does life imitate art or does art imitate life?
Maybe some of those that enjoy those sophomore college discussions over 2 AM cold pizza would like to weigh in
from 1989.

I didn't mention my father once in this thread.

There is nothing racist in what I am saying. I am attacking character flaws in a subset of the population. I look around where I work and ask myself why these black people and not others. Odd that nobody can answer that question. Why has society not held them back?

You didn't mention him but I could feel it coming.

As far as why, I'd guess there were some mitigating factors. Maybe their parents were well to do enough. Maybe they had great parents/guardians, maybe they happened to be in a great city/school district. That being said, it's not a matter of someone picking themselves up or rising above or anything like that because that **** just doesn't happen too often. And us white folk will never grasp the struggle of the black man, even if our parents struggled they had nothing on people who are descendents of slaves and Jim Crow laws.

I like how Brown is just an innocent kid about to go to college........until proven wrong and then the dem nuthuggers go silent.

But hey, any reason to loot is a good one. Even when OJ got off

God damn and what struggles does a black man have today that have to do with being a descendent of a slave? That was 150 years ago. People need to get over their white guilt. How soon is enough time to pass before we let the slavery thing go and realize that has no effect on anyone anymore?

Frank Costello: I don't want to be a product of my environment. I want my environment to be a product of me. Years ago we had the church. That was only a way of saying - we had each other. The Knights of Columbus were real head-breakers; true guineas. They took over their piece of the city. Twenty years after an Irishman couldn't get a ****ing job, we had the presidency. May he rest in peace. That's what the blacks don't realize. If I got one thing against the black chappies, it's this - no one gives it to you. You have to take it.

Krg I'm not gonna bother responding to you because you'll never get it. I could prove without a doubt any of my points and you'd still stick to your guns because you're a racist. I don't hold it against you as a person, but I'm not gonna have a race debate with you.

My parents were born in a segregated America. Laws that actively put down black people existed not that long ago. It's not like Slavery happened 500 years ago and then black people were all given a million dollars. Don't be obtuse. Learn some ****.

Ignoring the graffiti...there's nothing wrong with him having an opinion. However, In my opinion....People who believe that statement are idiots.

I dont get why you defend a moronic statement by painting the picture im attacking free speech.

So basically we are now going to qualify each example of a successful black man with some sort of excuse and say it can't apply the majority of the population. Okay, sure thing.

This is why the conversation can never get serious because you are a terrible person if you blame black people for the majority of their plight. But, until that happens they will never rise from where they are. Someone has to take accountability and those black families (like AA's) that make the sacrificies and teach the proper lessons to their children are the ones that break the vicious cycle.

Unfortuunately the majority of black people don't have the luxury of being complete mess ups and still finding a way to make it through to life but there are plenty of white people (myself) that that didn't have that option either.

Drugs and Alcohol are the root of crime. Regardless of race...people who put those things first end up having issues. Race is not an excuse for being a ****bag. Nearby city of Albuquerque is having tons of issues with police shootings. Majority of the criminals killed are mexican. However its the same pity party...

Nobody wants to admit the people who are killed by police put themselves in a bad position. Cops are always in a bad position due to the fact their job consists of interacting with violent individuals who have no regard for other people.

This shooting ill post below is another great example. Cops getting trashed yet again...

The problem is that you're still applying your white scope to this. You think that this is something that just can happen. Let's use AA as an example. His dad and mom had good jobs and set their kids up well. I'm guessing one or both of their parents also worked really hard and so on so forth. The issue is that people don't just make it out. It takes luck and great circumstances.

No, it takes determination and the mindset that you are done dealing with the circumstances you are living with.

Dude, no. Sure some people get out that way. But lets throw an analogy. You're a boxer, you're matched up against someone way out of your class. What are the odds you can go the distance against him much less outclass him? Kids with the odds against them because they're poor, hungry, have ****ty schools, etc. are like that boxer who's taking a beating over and over again. Sure you may make it, but it's really ****ing hard to get up when you keep getting knocked on your ass.

The mentality and the constant reminder to these kids that their circumstances are too hard to overcome is part of the reason they don't break free.
