Impressive sweep, but with Fredi as manager I still think we're probably going to just miss the playoffs or take the second Wild Card at best. Giants schedule is kinda weak the rest of the way so I'd say they're the favorite for that second Wild Card. But they have serious issues on offense too so we'll see. Plus we have to do well head-to-head vs Pittsburgh to have a shot.
PS: If the Braves had the Giants manager we'd be in first in our division, IMO.

I don't think we'd be first in the division as the Nats are arguably the best team in the NL with the dodgers but we're right there in the next group

It was sarcasm but i also didnt think he'd sign a below-market contract before FA.
So...
As is your love for him. The blame needs to start and end with Fredi. The best thing he has done all year was bench Uggla. Now he has one more to go.

It is a lot easier for the Nats now because of our struggles, but if we had a much better manager in Bochy I'd expect a very different story. The Nats would've fell behind and choked again if that had happened, IMO.

You know im right, Fredi isnt a great manager by any stretch, but i doubt we're in 1st with Bochy or any of the other top managers.
They dont make our offense go from crap to great.

IYO.
Nats have a solid team, good rotation 1-5, good bullpen, very good lineup, and a decent bench.
Good well-rounded team.
I doubt us being near them makes them "choke"
