I dont love Fredi, just think he gets way too much hate around these parts.

Ben Ingram just pointed out the Braves played 10 games vs 3 of the 6 first place teams and won 6.

correct me if I'm wrong but that is .600 baseball.

Nothing against Bochy but the Giants are 1.5 games in front of the Braves - less than 10 days after an 0 fer 8 road trip. The way y'all talk about him I'd think his team was running away with the division (they are 3.5 back)

We wouldn't be near them with Bochy, we'd been above them early on and IMO they'd choked again just last year. Just not to the level as they did last year, but enough to where we'd still be in the race for this division (either in first alone or neck and neck). Fredi is a butcher with a bullpen while that is Bochy's strength and we have a very good bullpen if used rightly. Though clearly not as great as in the past, at least with regard to lefty relief.

Funny you say the Nats choking when the Braves are known for choking like it's no tomorrow.

They always choke head-to-head against us, nothing new. Plus I do believe we could have even more wins against them with a better manager. And those head-to-head wins mean two games in the standings too.

PS: Your boy Fredi can bring out the choke in anyone.

Have you seen what Bochy has to work with? They shouldn't even be in a playoff spot right now with that offense, etc. Tampa Bay has a great manager too but they probably won't make the playoffs. But they still recently got back to .500 and their manager deserves credit as they should have a worse record.

Fredi hasn't "benched" TLS. He's getting some ABs for Gosselin against a tough lefty. It's a perfect time to give TLS some time off, whose BA is in freefall btw. Our bench is weak and if Gosselin is gonna be on it he needs to see major league pitchers, especially lefties.
