The thing you have to remember is that these guys aren't getting paid JUST for wins. Teams factor all of that in before making an offer.

yes you did and he won't be worth his contract this year or any year. I want 20 wins, sub 2.50 era and 220 k's.

Still not worth a 20 mil a year contract when you only play 35 games a year.

A 20 mil a year contract is 25 wins , 2.20 or lower ERA and 250 k's.

You do understand that Adam Wainwright pitched to 853 batters last year. Most players only see about 600 plate appearances per year. So a pitcher has many more "at bats" than a hitter does. Now, position players make up value in defense and base running, but the point still stands that starting pitchers impact hits/outs as much if not more than position players
