Nope. But I think keeping him on fixes nothing and I'd rather try to fix something than just hope everything breaks our way which is seemingly what it takes.
I think this year it would ahve been a big difference we gave up at the end of the season.
Or maybe we just arent that good?
Similar team fWAR as the Cards
Compare the rosters, not even worth debating but i dont live in roses and cherry land.
Their top 4 fWAR position players are Peralta (basically equal to Jason) Carpenter (basically equal to Justin, way worse offensively but better defensively and at a more offensive reduced position) Holliday (below Justin) and Yadier. Their combined fWAR is 16.1. our top 4 is 15.3. Where their strength is that their other guys didn't suck as hard,
From the pitching side, that's where we crush them. They have 2 great starters, Waino (4.5) and Lynn (3.1) after them, Wacha was strong but only made 19 starts. We had Julio (3.2) Ervin (2.8) Wood (2.5) and Harang (2.5) not to mention Kimbrel>>>>>anyone in their pen. Minor our worst starter had the same fWAR as Shelby Miller, their only other starter with 150+ IP. Pitching supposedly wins, and we had so much more of that.
If they could only get rid on one guy between Gonzalez and Wren, then I believe the right one got fired. Reading things the past couple weeks, it seems like Wren had a lot to do with the sour culture of the team. Make no mistake though, Gonzalez will be on the hot seat in 2015. It's the last year of his current deal and if there is no progression next season, he won't be retained. I'm sure Fredi knows that as well.
I'm, like the rest of you, are anxious to see what kind of changes will happen. This was just not a good blend of players on this team. Frankly, I'm not sure any manager would win with the way the team was constructed. I find it hard to believe there won't be changes. What those might be, I don't know. I don't think anybody does. Lets hope those changes put the Braves in a much better position to win in 2015 than it did in 2014.
Also, to those giving up on the 2015 season just because Fredi is returning as manager, stop. You're being ridiculous. Lets see how this team is constructed before throwing in the towel on the season six months before the first pitch.
Not giving up on the season just waiting for the organization to care more about winning again instead of loyalty to Cox. FG may even gets the Braves to the playoffs again the problem however is he will make another decision like leave CK in the bullpen. That's the real issue the guy has no clue what he is doing. I knew it from the first real decision he had to make as Braves manager. Kemp is on fire, talk of MVP, triple crown etc. and with a base open, one out bottom of the inning FG pitched to him we lose. That was the most idiotic descion I have ever seen same as the MLBtv crew that day that was until he left CK in the bullpen. He made these types of head scratching decisions all the time and in a 162 game schedule those mistakes can be covered up with talent and are exposed in the playoffs.
Because our offense is garbage.
And if you take out the top 4, give me Adams, Wong, Jay, and whoever their RF'er is over CJ, Simmons, BJ, and TLS.

Fredi isnt the only one to make bad decisions in games like yall seem to think.

I love how "Other managers are bad!" is supposed to inoculate Fredi Gonzalez from criticism and/or justify his retention.
