NBA Thread

Thunder have never beaten Lebron in a series.

Well since they only faced once when the THunder were all 23 and younger then I'm ok with that. Thunder would have bitched slapped the Heat last year. Spurs were lucky Ibaka got hurt.

Oh wow, the thethe fun has started already.

All this chatter about how its difficult to play with Lebron is interesting. I wonder if its jealously or if Lebron is really a big diva.

Still believe he left Cleveland to just form a younger version of a superstar team to compete with the THUNDER!!

You defend what you apparently hate about the NBA. It's easy for super-teams to form and they have been happening frequently lately. Yet you criticize LeBron for it, but defend that it's possible in the NBA.

When have I ever defended nba teams creating super teams through free agency?

All you need to see are Steven Adams highlights. Guy is going to be so damn good.

Im about to watch them now, as long as he gets 30+ minutes a night starting or not, that said i dont know how you keep him out of the starting lineup.

thethe does have a point though, no one else has done this.

Kobe and Shaq? They weren't drafted together. Got together and made a dynasty.
The Celtics squad?
Whether it's via FA or trades...it's not like the Celtics boys didn't purposefully get together. They did.
You bet your ass if MJ didn't have a great team around him he'd have gone somewhere to win, too.
It's just stupid to hate on him for it. No player has ever done it alone. No one. Not MJ, not Kobe, not Shaq.

Not gonna lie, just preseason, means nothing but impressive.

Not going as far to say he'll be a top-10 C, but he's got crazy potential.

Kobe and Shaq did it twice?

Ray, Pierce, KG never won anything, and all of them were 32 or older.

They had like one year, 08 when they were in their primes.

LeBron, Wade, Bosh were all at their PEAKS when they formed.

What are you talking about my friend?

Kobe was drafted. Celtics traded for both KG and Allen.

These were moves that the front offices of each team executed. Lebron/Wade/Bosh sat together in a room and said lets get together. There are plenty of rumors that Lebron spoke to Love before making his decision. Its a different scenario.

It's different but similar. KG, Pierce, and Allen definitely go together. The FO executed the moves, but the players had some pull power.
Shaq was not drafted to the Lakers.
Show me a player that won on his own. Show me a player as good as LeBron, that had so little around him, that stayed on one team and decided against winning anything. Why shouldn't LeBron do it? What should he do instead? NOT give himself the best chance to win?
