REAL FOOTBALL Thread

That's if you include RGMe's rookie season, which isn't in his last 15 games. last 2 years.

RGMe 61.5 comp% 3.2 TD% 2.4 INT% 5.85 NY/A

Cousings last yeards 57.7 Comp% 3.9 TD% 4.5 INT% 6.62 NY/A

So he throws more picks but more TDs and more net yards per attempt. And that doesn't factor in down and distance, opponent, etc. like DVOA does.

And you think Stafford and Wilson have been good? And Flacco has been pretty fantastic this year. DVOA isn't a ranking stat for starting QBs as anyone who throws a pass qualifies for DVOA so guys who throw less can have a better rate stat but contribute more offensively because they throw more. WE've had this argument. You used to use DYAR. If you prefer we can look at Total QBR which has RGMe at 36.2 this year and Cousins at 46.9. Losing RGMe lately hasn't been a problem. Sure if he was playing like he did his rookie year then you'd have a point that it's a big miss, but he's not been good since his rookie season.

You mean how he was 31-40 for 305 yards?

Titans to start Mettenberger this week. I'm excited about this for a few reasons. The first thing obviously is that this (hopefully) means no more Charlie Whitehurst. He's not the worst back-up QB in the league, but he definitely a game manager at best. Doesn't make many bad throws, but doesn't stretch the field and has trouble moving the offense. It will be nice to see a QB with the ability to utilize Hunter's ability on the outside.

Secondly, I thought Mettenberger was honestly one of the best QB's in this past draft. His off-field issues and his injury are what made him drop. Good chance he's one of the top 3-4 QB's taken if not for those issues.

Lastly, this pretty much spells the end of Locker of Tennessee. He may get a couple more starts this yr, but he won't be here past this season. Which I'm mixed about. He is honestly a great guy and he obviously has some talent. He was progressing nicely each season. But the injury issues are just too much to stomach. He's never started more than 11 games. When he returns from injury he is often rusty or playing injured/scared.

Hey refs.

Anyone surprised a clear fumble that the Chargers recovered at almost at Denver 25 yard line is overturned?

Denver is going to win it all as long as the referees continue to show up for them each week. Additionally they play teams who are severely injured too.

Cry some more. Jeez. It was 50/50. If Denver lost it, they would have put 50 or more just to prove a point. And to think if you honestly think the SD had a chance, no. They kept it close for the network, so they ran a lot. 30 runs to 34 passes. If it was close, Manning would have passed for 400+ and punish them.

I have Manning and Sanders on my two leagues.

Im not sure it was a fumble. The one glaring terrible call was the holding on Welker in the end zone that resulted in a pick.

I believe the game was tied on that kickoff. Chargers had just scored and had momentum on their side. Of course having the the ball incorrectly given back to Denver makes a difference. People here are far too dense to realize it.

Riiiiight.
Denver wasn't clearly the better team. Nope.

Gilchrist had the back of Welker's jersey not a bad call, but that was a makeup call for the pushoff Gates did on 4th down.

Bad read by Manning, should have kept running it.
