Chris Johnson

I really wonder what we could get, and what the Giants have to offer.

I don't buy it because just after the winter meetings the Giants said they had no interest in taking CJ back in a Justin Upton trade.

We may have to include $ or prospect value to trade Chris. SF doesn't have a marginal contract for us to take on really. Lincecum has a marginal contract, but has full no trade protection. Marco Scutaro has one year left at $6m, so there's that maybe.

I don't buy that they're interested as they clearly weren't before, sounds like another false rumor.

@AhmedFareedCSN
Nope. Not high in him RT @MikeCollett5 do you see #SFGiants making a trade for Chris Johnson?

@JCRMarlinsbeat
Hearing #Marlins and #Giants closing in on Casey McGehee deal. Marlins likely to get back minor league pitching.

I mean then what report do you believe? Heyward posted a rumor weeks ago that said Padres were 100% out on Upton. Until they weren't.

With the Giants now picking up McGehee I think its pretty clear that CJ is going to start at 3B next year.

We can only hope that Seitzer is able to get him straight and that you are able to shed his salary.

I can't imagine they gave up anything for McGehee that we wouldn't have taken for CJ. McGeHee isn't good at all, and I think CJ will be better offensively.

Meh, CJ's contract isnt even all that bad.

3B is an AWFUL position league-wide in baseball.

He makes around like 6-8 mil the next 2 years, not great but hardly immoveable.

His option will probably get declined regardless with the IF prospects the Braves have now : Peraza, Kubizta, and the prospects today.

You're wrong as usual, CJ is guaranteed over 23 million over the next three seasons even if they decline his 2018 option (including 1 million buyout). It is also not 6-8 million over the next two seasons, it's 13.5 million.

I meant 6-8 mil PER year, not total mr negative.

So im right with that, as usual.
