We're going to finish in first.

Fredi will have a managerial season that will be remembered for the ages.

Going to be awesome to see what kind of player we can get in FA for 24 million!

There is no reason to spend that money, just use it to pay off as much of BJ'S future salary so he doesn't drag down the 2017 team.

Mets and Braves rosters are fairly equal. Some good talent (especially in the rotation) but a lot would have to go right to make the playoffs. Phils roster is downright stinky aside from about 4-5 players.

I think this is unlikely to be a last place team. I would project it as a 75-80 win team. Closer to 80 wins if the budget is around 110M and we spend the remaining funds to upgrade some weak areas. One of the reasons I have objected to the "rebuilding" project is that we have a decent core of players under contractual control to build around. We could have had a better than "palatable" team in 2015.

Sign a 5th starter and what else? Another option for CF? Maybe a LHed bat for the bench?

The roster is pretty much set with players that aren't good enough to break .500.

I mean holy hell, we are looking at half the lineup (CJ, BJ, CB, Simmons) posting a sub .300 OBP, 2 guys that might hit .320 (Callaspo and Gattis), and 2 guys that should be .350+ (Freeman and Markakis). How in the world do you even begin to construct a viable lineup with hitters like that?

I would be surprised if this team wins 75 games. Hart has essentially taken the worst offense in the game and replaced Heyward with Markakis, JUp with CB, and TLS with Callaspo or some rookie that had a short but terrible MLB debut last year. This is offense going to be a train wreck...
