How would Carolina get in? Aren't we undefeated in division???

Carolina with a win would be 7-8-1. We'd be 6-10. If we tied, Carolina would be 6-8-2, and we'd be 6-9-1. So, Falcons need a win. Panthers need a win or tie.

Well we've managed one win outside the division, which is pretty pathetic, considering we've played several more beatable teams outside the division.

Idk how to answer about the division thing, but it's no different than if the Braves were to go 4-15 against the Nationals, but finish with a W-L record one game better or what have you.

There's also no way we deserve to go to the playoffs over the Eagles, which is who we would be knocking out. I think the NFL should take this into consideration in the future.

Eliminate the divisions. Keep the confrences and have each team play the other 15 teams in their conference. 16th game is against a team from the other conference that was in the same place as you the previous season.
