NBA Thread

It will depend on who the Knicks can draft. But, if they set up a team with Okafor, Gasol, Melo, Calderson...........they would certainly be a threat in the East.

Heck they may even TAKE OVA NY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Gasol leaves Memphis, he'll go to SA to replace Duncan.

2 of those + Okafor + Melo + THJ + Calderon isn't good in the East? Kay.

Also, the Knicks have options.....they have a top 3 pick + Melo + Calderon + THJ + 30 mil in cap......they can sign 2 max guys, they can sign 3 guys for 10 per, so on and so on.

WHY WOULD ANYONE SIGN SOMEWHERE FOR MONEY? WHY?????

Also, still laughing at Waiters / RW / Ibaka / Adams PRESSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

Yes, trading Lance Thomas and a pick in the 18-20's for Waiters is so bad.

The Knicks plan is so much better

Lets see, stay in Memphis and be the Western Conference bitch or go to the bright lights of NY where he can make a **** ton more money and also possibly play with Melo and a top draft pick. The Knicks with Gasol would go further in the playoffs than the Grizz with Gasol.

ROFL.

So Melo, unproven draft pick, Gasol, ???????????? >>>>>>> Conley, Gasol, ZBo, among others.

BULL****.

The West is a bitch but i'll take my chances in that rather than the dumpster that is the Knicks.

Heyward & thethe > NBA GMs DOE

Never said that but if i'm Gasol, why leave a proven contender for the Knicks who have Melo for MAYBE 2 prime years left.

Best case is they make it as a 6-8 seed, and lose in the 1st round.

WOOOOOOOOOOO!

PHIL!!!!!!

DRAFT PICKS!!!!!!!!

MONEY CAP ROOOOOOOM TAKING OVERRRRRRRRRRR!

Kevin Durant is excited that Dion Waiters is joining the Thunder and thinks he can fill the sixth-man role the team has been missing since they traded James Harden to the Rockets a few years ago.

"I am not saying he's James' replacement because we're far past that," Durant said. "But he can play, he can come off the bench for us and score and make plays. He is a really good player. A lot of people take him for granted, I think."

:fredi:

Kinda true, not saying he's close to James but the dude can score.

Something OKC doesnt have much of.

Other than Reggie/KD/Russ, no one else can really create on their own.

Knicks werent that bad at the time.

But why would anyone go to the Knicks now?

Well if you read the posts beforehand I was responding to Niners saying that the Knicks haven't signed anyone in the past decade. Which is untrue because they signed Tyson, Melo, and Amare.

I would not be surprised at all if they signed a max guy. Who that person is? I don't know. Situations change all the time. When Melo went to NY they were in a pretty terrible situation. Now they have Phil Jackson and you can't convince me that that doesn't hold merit.

If you were to have told me that Kevin Love would have been a Cav a year ago then I would have thought you were crazy.

Well i thought LeBron would go back to Cleveland but no one here would believe me.

He can score if he takes 30'shots a game.

Money, big city, mecca of basketball,to play for Phil, and bc if they sign a max guy to go with Melo and top pick, they are a lock for playoffs

Cap had nothing to do with it, Dallas had his Bird rights and can go over the cap to sign him. Good try though.

Nobody wants to go over the cap with the new CBA. Avoiding the repeater tax is a strategy in every front office.

You think Mark Cuban wouldn't go over the cap?

WHat evidence is there that he would right now? In the past when the penalties were less stringent it made sense to go over the cap.

Every single team is avoiding the repeater tax.
