“It’s going to be the best All-Star Game for me, to be able to be in the Garden,” James said Friday. “I love my fans back in Cleveland. I loved my fans when I was in Miami. But if I could have 82 regular-season games in the Garden, you know I would, because it’s the mecca of basketball. You get a great feeling when you walk in there because there is so much history. It’s going to be fun.”

Spewing cliches. Definitely means a lot.

It's certainly not the mecca of basketball these days. The organization is a total mess, like I said, starting at the top with their scumbag owner. They got nothing. Sixers get criticized for openly tanking, Knicks try and compete with the Great One (Melo) and just can't so they quietly begin their tank. Phenomenal. When has Melo ever made a star player better? I can't figure out why a star player would strongly desire to play with him. He is a notoriously poor team player. Always has been. Won't change now.

Its funny to read people when they try to down play what NBA players say about the Garden.

Whats funny is that he could have played in the Garden but chose not to so how important is it really to players?

Championships over legacy of a stadium. No intelligent player would go to Melo's Knicks if they wanted to actually win.

I'm not as negative about the Knicks long term success as you are but I don't think they will win anytime in the next 2-3 years.

Why never a Knick?

"I don't know," James said. "Just didn't work out that way. I spent my first seven years in Cleveland. When I became a free agent in 2010, I felt what was best for me was to go to Miami. And when I became a free agent once again this past summer, I thought what was best was going back home. My family was feeling very comfortable. And that's how it goes."

It's not all that tough to figure out, Miami already had Wade and Bron wanted to team up with his best friend. Bottom line is, show me where Bron or other players gush over other places like they do MSG.....I'll be waiting.

Actions speak louder than words. If nobody else is signing there than the allure isn't what they are saying it would be.

Lebron is a great nba politician.

Yup, he says that about every arena. Still waiting on those quotes

Lebrons a smart guy. He knows a good team in NY is good for the sport. He is going to do whatever he can to make it seem like NY is still a great place to play.

Yeah he'll leave Cleveland for the Knicks.

Must be nice to be delusional.

Eh, it's all all star game. The MVP means basically nothing. Guys don't try at all on defense.

I haven't watched in 10 years, but it's typically just guys out having fun....trying alley oops, etc. Occasionally you get a guy headset on getting the MVP trophy so they go hero mode. 28 shots, 1 assist.
