w\ tightness in left shoulder.

I know it was put in the spring training thread, but I figured this might need its own thread. If not, mods can delete.

Atlanta Braves ‏@Braves
#Braves announce LHP Mike Minor has been scratched from his scheduled start on Sunday vs. Houston w/ tightness in his left shoulder

@DOBrienAJC
#Braves said Minor has been healthy in camp until feeling tightness Tuesday, and that he's been held out Sunday for precautionary reasons.

Just don't have a good feeling about this. If Minor's shoulder is shot might as well be ready to just cut bait with him.

@DOBrienAJC
#Braves will probably have Minor get shoulder checked out, had MRIs last season that were clean, might look at back/traps/lats, etc

@DOBrienAJC
#Braves Minor had tightness couple of days ago after throwing his 'pens/BP sessions, Hart said. Had felt good prior to that, throwing well

@mlbbowman
Though the #Braves aren't ready to say it, Minor will likely not be ready to start the season. No reason to have him repeat last year.

Hurts his trade value. That's the worst part of this. Hopefully he's okay enough to have a respectable first half.

We can skip a starter the first time through the rotation due to the schedule, so if MRI is clean, they can rest him a week or two and probably still have him ready by the first time we need a 5th starter. On the other hand, if the MRI shows even a little something, I think Mike will be more inclined to have surgery since rest and rehab did not work last year. Probably a couple days before we know anything.

Yeah. I agree.

Ok well in July when he has TJ surgery and is out till the all star break in 2016 dont say I didnt warn you. We are just delaying the inevitable.

So we should operate on a muscle that's not even injured? That makes sense.

Hell, why not send out entire rotation to get TJS? May be we'll get a group discount.
