Just focusing on the Braves.

68-94

Freeman will lead in batting average, home runs, and runs batted in.

Julio will lead in wins and earned run average.

Craig Kimbrel gets 35 saves.

I'm going with my username and the spirit of '76. So that's a 76-86 record this season and three less wins than last year.

Iam ever the optimist, I am going for 83-79, we will score more runs strike out less and starting pitching will be fine once Minor returns, I also think either Teheran or Wood will throw a no-hitter sometime this year. Kimbrel will lead the league in saves once again.

75 wins
Freeman has career high in walks and batting average
Shelby Miller leads the NL in ERA
Jace Peterson finishes top 5 in ROY voting

79 wins

Minor has TJ surgery in July.
Teheran has TJ surgery in October
Wood ends the year on DL, Braves decide to go with rehab, then Wood has TJ surgery the first week of spring training.
We get a "Braves New World" article about the Braves having no hope of winning the division for once.
Fredi acts like the Braves are in the playoff hunt until mathematically eliminated despite being 20 games back in the division.
The Braves start hot and win 3 of the first 4 games. People blow that out of proportion and get hyped, then we lose 7 straight and reality sets in.
ESPN begs and pleads the Braves to trade Kimbrel over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
Freeman has a monster year finishing second in the MVP vote...... behind Heywood. Heywood signs a 10 year 300 million contract with the Yankees and says he was always a Yankees fan at heart.
Braves are bottom 10 in attendance
Heywood demolishes the Braves any time we play the Cardinals
Braves actually win the season series vs the Nats,
Callaspo is released in July
Derek Jeter wins gold glove

I think that's a pretty fair synopsis, Cajun.

Melvin's foot thing takes forever to heal. In July he reports to Florida for extended spring training. Rehab assignments, Braves call him up September 1.

He pinch runs twice and serves as a defensive replacent five times. The fifth time, he commits an error Cadillacing under a ball, throws behind the runner for a three base error, costing the team the game and mathematically eliminating them from the playoffs. When Bowman asks what happened, Melvin tells him to suck his d*ck.

Freddie doesn't see a strike for six weeks, gets frustrated and starts swinging at everything, finishes at .206 with 25 walks after Memorial Day, 22 of them intentional.

Fredi likes the whole getting-tossed-in-the-first-inning thing, as it gives him an early shot at the buffet. Resolves to get thrown out more. The team is 17-3 in games Fredi is tossed, as Carlos Tosca proves to be a managerial genius.

Christian Bethancourt and Jace Peterson hit a combined .112 through Memorial Day. Bethancourt is sent to Mississippi, Peterson released. Pierzynski and KJ take over, double the previous production. AJ and KJ are given their outright releases on 9/1.

If the previous 4 years were any indicator... yea

I don't think the previous 4?! years are an indicator. Last year's team had extremely little in common with 2010, 2011, even 2012. A lot around here said we over-performed in 2013.

The best indicator for last year's team was last year. You could not watch them and think they were a good team.

Scary thing is, much of that could have been things you actually expected until you got to the last one. Maybe the third to the last, too.

I can dig it.

It always all depends, but I see between 75 and 80 wins.

Sounds about right. We will get significantly better offensive production from short, center and third, which will partly make up for trading away Justin, Jason and the Gorn. Freeman will probably have a better year. Pitching should be solid, especially if Cody Martin makes the team. And then there will be the veteran leadership from Mukaki, Gomes and EY.
