I don't know about that, but I'm certain he won't be able to resist EY in the top spot.
Fred may switch Peterson and Simmons in 2 hole. But this is what I expect from Fredi.

Braves have released Cuban catcher Yenier Bello, who was signed a year ago for $400,000.
Gotcha. My point still stands. den Dekker is a borderline CF starter/4th OF...good defense and solid on base skills. Essentially would probably be starting in CF

Thats weird to give up on him so fast. Has to be more to the story.
Looks like TLS is going to go north with the Cubs and see a good bit of playing time in the near term, at least.
That's good news. Hope he has a fantastic year. Still a big fan.
That's the strange dynamic, if Uggla were still here. There would still be calls for his release, although I would say Freddie wouldn't mind having him hit behind him. Maybe some point the Nats will need the roster spot. We may as well pick him up since we are paying him anyway. We could then slide Peterson to third after dealing Johnson.
Fredi has already talked about using Peterson at short if Simmons needs a day off. Further, the Braves ate only around 600k on Russell while with Callaspo they'd need to eat the full 3 million.
MLBTR: "The Marlins have placed Rule 5 lefty Andrew McKirahan on waivers, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports on Twitter. McKirahan can be claimed by any team, but will be offered back to the Cubs if he makes it through waivers.
The 25-year-old has had plenty of success in the minors and reached Double-A last year with the Chicago organization. He seemed to have a reasonable chance at earning a role in the Miami pen, but it appears that the Fish will instead roll with Brad Hand as a second lefty. Reviews have been positive, so it would not be surprising to learn that another club intends to give McKirahan a look."
My comments: I wouldn't be surprised if the Braves put a claim in on McKirahan.
