Most Christians believe that marriage is a religious institution, and not a government one. I tend to agree. Additionally, Christians see marriage as one man and one woman. So I can certainly understand why they don't want to put their name on something they spiritually are against, can't you?

Also, zito - the company is not discriminating against a gay person. The company is choosing not to participate in a gay wedding. There is a difference

So then if they don't believe in interracial marriages they shouldn't serve them? If they don't believe in Interfaith marriages they shouldn't serve them?

I still want to know the number of weddings this pizza place catered. I'm guessing the number is really small.

THis just reeks of conspiracy to me. Some right winger asked food businesses if they would shut their doors and publicly say it was for a gay wedding. Most people didn't care, so they wound up with this pizza place. I'm also guessing their backers were the biggest supporters of the gofundme campaign. Maybe it's just me believing that most Americans have enough of a heart to not give more money to hatred and instead be inclined to give it to people who actually need it. Like people with rare forms of cancer, and survivors of terrorist attacks.

Not sure why this matters. Also I've been to wedding that was catered by a pizza place... not everyone wants to drop $50K on a wedding, and I don't blame them

That's a really dumb hypothesis in my opinion. And the hatred comes from the LGBT side... who demands you do as they wish or you will pay the price. And I'm curious how much of your own money you've given to cancer and terror charities? It better be the leader of things you spend your money on, or else don't tell others how they can spend theirs.

Polygamy, oh boy this is going to be good. They protect the gay marriages, but if you believe in polygamy, the hypocrisy comes out for those for same sex marriages will defend against it.

This is why I say do whatever the heck you want if it is government related, one spouse, same sex, many spouses, many sexes, but the church and religious beliefs should be defended at all costs because if you strip their beliefs away then there will be no church, which is their goal.

would be a better example if the christian bakery didn't serve people with tats or farmers that plant different crops near each other or wear 2 different threads etc
