Fredi taking a page out of Bobby's book, by putting the new guys into the same spot in the lineup as the guy they're replacing with the exception of Maybin hitting 8th.

He is so weird with the top spots.

Not so much weird as opposed to he's just pretty old school in his line of thinking.

I mean Bobby used to put his shortstop and 2B at the top of the lineup frequently, no matter who it was.

You're wrong. Fredi is obviously stepping OUT of Bobby's shadow and showing some initiative, because that's a Sunday lineup and it's only Wednesday.

Yes, however Bobby used to use those lineups for "getaway" games, but those were usually afternoon getaway games.

And his Sunday lineups always made me laugh but IIRC there was an AJC article on Bobby retiring where they interviewed previous players/coaches under him and asked what they learned from Bobby, and Fredi whom was managing the Marlins gave a story about him being puzzled about Bobby using B Squad lineups on rubber games where they had a chance to sweep. Bobby told him his reasoning and Fredi was blown away when it worked a week later.

So yesterday, Simmons is the worst hitter in the lineup, according to Fredi's placement. Today's he's one of the best.

Only Fredi

Lol. Even I have to chuckle at the lineup. Must be our "already won this series" lineup.

Interesting that he has 3 straight left-handed hitters in the lineup. I thought that was a big no-no for him.

Fredi is just trying to get Simmons going, hoping he gets good pitches hitting in front of Markakis and Freeman.

You guys are too harsh.

I actually think this lineup is "better" than the ones the previous two days...

But the order is odd, per usual
