Be nice if my Pistons could get the ping pong balls to go there way for a change and get a top 3 pick and get our small forward in Winslow or stretch 4 in Kaminsky. Really like what Stan Van Gundy has done so far to change the culture and getting the organization moving in the right direction after seeing the ineptitude of the previous regime and Joe Dumars after Mr. Davidson passed away.

Get an impact guy in the draft and add a few complimentary pieces and we could make a little noise in the JV err Eastern conference next year.

You think they keep Reggie, and/or make a push for Monroe?

They should be in position for Winslow or Stanley Johnson if he comes out.

I think they will do whatever it takes to keep Reggie, SVG seems really high on him, and he was productive and very good for us once he got acclimated to SVG's system. Him along with Drummond & KCP is a really nice young core to start building around.

I think there is no doubt that Monroe is gone. He doesn't seem interested in being in Detroit and always says he wants to play for a winner, but is fascinated with the Knicks and probably go there. Although I think Detroit is in a better situation than the Knicks even though they'll have a top 2 pick more than likely. It's obvious that in SVG's system and the NBA in general, it really doesn't seem to work playing to post oriented bigs together and clog up the lane. It's too bad because I really like Moose and I'd like him to stay and play limited minutes at the PF position and backup Drummond at C and get another big and it would be a good big man rotation. But this last season when the two we're on the floor together the offense became stagnant and really limited driving lanes and Monroe got torched defensively by opposing PF's. Wish we would have looked harder at trading him and getting something for him, unless we can do a sign and trade. Knicks will have the same problem essentially as we have had with Monroe and Drummond on the floor together if they sign him and draft Okafor or KAT.

If there is value there we might look at trading KCP as well. I like KCP, he's good defensively but wildly inconsistant as a shooter which is suppose to be his forte out of college. If he could become more consistant you're looking at another potential core young player to build around in the mold of a Rip Hamilton/Reggie Miller type.

Ideally I'd like to get a top 3 pick and get Winslow, he'd give us the SF we've been so desperately needed. Keep Jackson. Build around Drummond. See what we can get for KCP or keep him and hope he continues to develop. See what the market is for deal centered around Brandon Jennings and hopefully be able to move up and get another pick late lottery or mid 1st round and get one of Kaminsky, Myles Turner, or Looney. Build around that core, keep Caron Butler around and if we can move Jennings I'd like to see Augustine brought back and see where we can go with that team.

DJ has one more year left on his deal and is reportedly close with Durant. I have a feeling he is going to stay in OKC for a bit as long as KD resigns.

Jackson is a really good player. I'm happy that he got whta he wnated. Just wish they coul dhave figured it out in OKC. Reggie will produce like a top 10-15 PG.

Didn't realize that, I thought he signed a 1 year deal with us, but I forgot it was a 2 year deal. Sorry about that, really like his game as a backup PG though.

Yeah, he is about as much as you can expect out of your backup PG. The most important thing is that at this point in his career I think he accepts that role and therefore excels in it. Sometimes the backups know or belivee they are better than that and therefore their production suffers.

Woj says OKC may get rid of Brooks.

Thibs please.

They'll likely have to surrender some sort of asset to Chicago to snag him.

Meanwhile, I read this morning that Billy Donovan was a target of OKC's.

Let's see some playoffs predictions:

They can have Lamb, Jones, and some 2nd round picks.

Regarding Donovan, Orlando tried to get him a few years ago and said he wanted to stay in college coaching so who the hell knows.
