NBA Thread

Eh... They need a lot more than that. It's not like rookies are immediate contributors in the NBA.

They would benefit a lot by getting rid of Fisher.

Certainly a couple vet FAs would come over, but:

(hypothetically)

C- Smith/Bargnani
PF- Monroe
SF- Melo
SG- Shved
PG- Mudiay

with Larkin, Hardaway, Smith/Bargnani, Axy, Early, Galloway would be top half of the East, imo.

So you'd put them over two of Washington, Cle, Chi, Atl, Toronto?

Miami should also rebound next year, if they keep Dragic, a SL of Dragic, Wade, Deng, Bosh, Wiltside is pretty nasty.

Over Washington for sure. I could see them be better than Toronto or Chi.

The following teams I think would be better than the Knicks in the scenario you are posing where they get those players:

Cle
Atl
Mil (They are going to be really damn good next year)
WSH (Still like the core talent)
ORL (Big time sleeper for me. I think they make a move for Cousins in the offseason. I love the talent on that roster.)
BOS (Not 100% sure on this one but I think its a possibility)
CHI

If Mudiay is as good as advertised, they would have a top player in Melo, a very good big man, and a legit point guard. I like Shved's game as well if he stays there (not sure contract)

I certainly don't see Bos/Orl/Mil being better unless they have some big acquisitions.

LOL they are not better than Chicago, stop it.

Maybe Toronto.

Not the Wizards if they're healthy. Wall, Beal, Nene, Gortat, others is still good enough for a top 5 seed.

You're overrating them.

As much as i love Towns, i dont see him having a monster impact as a rookie if he went there.

Melo may be past his prime.

Mudiay is a rookie, no lock he does well out of the gate.

Monroe would help.

They have some other good depth pieces but they dont go from one of the worst teams in the league to top 4 in the East by just adding a few players.

Mil is mainly on defense, their starting lineup is so long they can switch everywhere on the court 1-5.

I dont know if they'll be better than the Knicks depending who they get but the Bucks are rising.

MIL improvement is from within and getting Parker back.

BOS/ORL are no sure thing but I think they have a lot of talent/flexiblity and room for growth.

Huge loss for Toronto (and win for Boston, I suppose). If, in the final game of the season, the Bulls can defeat a Hawks team that will be inevitably resting its starters, they'll wrap up that third-seed and avoid the Wizards for the first round.

I still think the Bulls would prevail against the Wizards, but playing Milwaukee should be a much more comfortable tilt for Chicago.

Havent Wiz done well vs Bulls?

Sither way, you def much rather play the Bucks. Should be an easy series.

George Hill is essentially useless in trying to guard Wall. He has gotten into the lane essentially whenever he wants

Let's go Pacers!!!

Why was Washington still playing starters in that double-overtime? They can't catch the Raptors, and the Bucks can't catch them. Was Wittman just trying to pad his résumé with one more win, with an eye towards looking for a new job this summer after he's fired?

Bc Wittman is an effin moron is why. Thankfully, no one was injured, but geez, the guy is an idiot. His reasoning for playing the starters was that the starters would have been mad if he pulled them out of the game.

Last day of the year, hoping the Pels win, so Russ can get some rest this summer.

With KD out, literally no point in trying to get in.

I think NO can give GS more of a series than OKC in the shape they are in right now.
