2015 NFL Draft

OL\QB always go higher than initially thought. The talent is just so thin there usually. I guess the reason Id be ok with the Sherff pick is because of scarcity. If Sherff is a guard, then I'd be a grumble puss about that pick.

He wasn't just projected later because of his speed. He wasn't that good in college. He embarrassed UGA, but that's about it . Had a pretty solid Offensive line as well, but wasn't anything more than a chain mover. I guess that isn't something you guys have, but he likely could have been had in the 5th or 6th pretty easily.

It was a nice haul. Smith had a lot of late momentum leading up to the draft.

I wouldn't rely on draft grades as the gauge for where he would have been drafted. (outside of first round; maybe 2nd) Scotty M. said he was the highest ranked player on the board in the 3rd and he would have taken him a round earlier (was surprised he lasted). They clearly don't have the same draft boards as Mayock and Kiper who simply rehash the same **** over and over.

Florida had a terrible offense with no threat of passing the ball at all. I wouldn't say Jones wasn't that good, he averaged 5 yards per carry and dominated Tennessee and Georgia. Look at the LSU game, Jones got 4 carries, Taylor got 2, and Driskel got 21!

I don't think he's a great prospect, but he should be a solid NFL back that can move the chains. He's a big, strong, physical runner. He probably wouldn't fit many zone blocking schemes.

edit, the guy Scot compared him to was Frank Gore

DGB is going to be all or nothing. He had tons of off-the-field stuff, including domestic violence. He had good size and speed, but not strong at all. He basically struggled vs. press coverage, but was 6 inches taller than the corners so could haul it in. He didn't work hard at all at Mizzou and didn't take to coaching. Some NFL teams said they tried to test out his football knowledge and he was completely lost.

I guess he has the size and speed to be Randy Moss, though.

I don't agree that he isn't strong at all. I know reports say that he struggles breaking free from more physical corners, but he's only had 2 years of college play. He's reportedly a good blocker in the run game as well.

He is boom or bust guy. If he keeps his head on right, there's no reason he shouldn't be a good player in this league. Obviously staying out of trouble is the biggest worry.

Thomas Dimitroff said that all the time in the past. So far, he is wrong more often that right. I'm going with overdrafted for now, but completely reserve the right to pull a 180 if he looks good down the line!

:FrediWut:

It depends. I can absolutely foresee a scenario where he is 100% the steal of the draft. Only a fool would argue otherwise.

But this is a situation where it's difficult for any of us to say this was a good pick or not because no one knows or would even understand what his situation is.

I will give this to the Cowboys. They do have a recent history of having success with these type of players.

Yeah, I'm not trying to proclaim it as a great pick already. I just like the fact that they will take a risk on guys like him. It's not like he's been arrested multiple times or has DV issues; it's marijuana and his mental state. I have hope/faith that they can work with him through this, and yes, I also feel they've done well with this in the recent past.

scotty M is the best in the world :)

Whoever gets Collins is getting a steal for 3 years before they have to re-sign him to an extension.

I think he's clean and is being framed personally.

I haven't seen any details, but the police have said he isn't a suspect. Terrible situation.

He can probably make MORE money this way, but it would be a tough hand to be dealt.

Personally I think the Falcons will have interest. TD was said to be monitoring it closely.

There really isn't a situation where he can make more money. His contract is going to be capped.

There is the potential to reach free agency a year early, but he literally has zero insurance against injury since he won't get a signing bonus.

Top 10?

Gregory is good but i wouldnt go that far.

Gregory was set as a top 10 pick before his ****ty combine, ****ty pro day, and his busts. His off the field issues is the only reason he didn't go in the first round.

As a college player he was superior to Fowler or Beasley, they went up because of no offfield issues liek Gregory or Ray, and they crushed it athletically. Gregory could easily be the best steal in the draft.

Shocked to hear that teams had no interest in trading up for Leonard Williams. It was Fowler or no trades. I assumed WIlliams would have been a hot commodity. I guess there is reason he dropped (and no teams wanted to trade up for him) while Mayock/Kiper rave about him.

Jets may not have to blitz once all next year.

Wilkerson/Richardson/Williams/Coples

Geez.

49rs draft was pretty rough from the pundits point of view.

Bills bringing up the rear of the draft grades also.

Looks like its just to add to future depth. I don't see the 49ers competing this year for anything worthwhile.

It will be a wait and see year with Kap (his mechanic look night and day different) and then hope the kids from this draft are ready in the 2 years. If they aren't competitive this year they could have a killer draft next year and it would be like having two drafts worth of picks going into the 2016-2017 year. Just like with any draft if the guys can't play they can't play but it could work out nicely moving forward.

The whole perception of competiting next year changed with the sudden retirements of Willis/Borland and potentially Justin Smith. Hard to recover from something like that.

Supposedly there's some worries with his shoulders, but even still, i agree.

Best player in the draft.
