5/28/15: GDT - Atlanta Braves @ SF Giants *NOT Dodgers* (Cunningham gets a start!)

dude, give it a rest. no one "assured" you of anything. we have to wait and see. we will find out. our approach is much, much better and our offense, even with this crazy lull we've had, STILL has better numbers. we will see.

Is there ever a time you can disagree with someone without being an ass?

The narrative was "Yeah, we traded three of our best hitters and we are going to be the worst offense in the league...by far".

It was funny.

well, there are a lot of games to be played till we find out how those 2015 numbers end up against the full year numbers they are being compared to

2014 we were 14th in NL in runs scored and 11th in wOBA.

So far in 2015 we are 10th in NL in runs scored and 12th in wOBA.

I swear, you guys won't let anything thru.
We have identical wOBA as last year, and it was better just yesterday. We just hit 1 HR in 11 games. Freeman has been slumping. A couple of good games from Freddie, and our offense is bumped up.
Obviously we had more talented hitters last year than this year. By the end of the year, however, I do not expect our offense to be worse than last year. Right now, it's been around the same and that's been with a major slump. A couple of even mediocre games will put us above last year's team.
None of this is even really the point. We were supposed to be teh worzt offense evarrrrr omggg but even after a heavy slump are right in line with last year's STAR STUDDED team ohmygod HOW DID WE LET THEM GO. The rebuild is, right now, undoubtedly working.

Again, this is exactly why people have a problem with those that only read the stats: you can pick one or two and spout them, and suddenly your point is (somehow) made. It's really not how it works. Finished with addressing these posts. chicken little ass ninjas.

lol.. there he is

hey, we make contact now instead of just hitting homers and striking out

so, yeah

except last year's amazing, superstar team didn't even really hit homers, just struck out and couldn't do anything but swing for the fences (and not reach them).

You've gotta be like 16 years old.

Go and read some of your posts.

no, YOU'RE 16. the whole "lol how old are you 5???" thing is real tired, just like your snarky posts.
lmao, and go and read some of yours. i honestly do not see how my response was even a little bit more ass-ish than your initial post.

Well, we are one of the worst with the chance to be the worst if we work really hard at it.

Lets ignore the hot streaks and focus on the slumps in May in order to look thru rose colored glasses.

I do love how the whiners and chicken heads never post in GDTs or talk about the game, just come on the next day and, if they feel justified, whine and use snark. just too classic.

I love that people can't know what they are talking about if they aren't staying up till 1 am writing on internet message boards during game.

The weird sidelight to this ongoing (and exhausting) conversation is that the improvement—or at least the holding serve—of this year's offense has ****-all to do with shedding Heyward, Upton, and Gattis. Some folks seem determined to twist those two subjects together in a way that doesn't even pass the sniff test, as far as I can tell.
