2015 June Draft Results Thread

No, he seems like a great pick, high upside but how much pitching do we need lol.

We need a high upside hitter so badly.

There is a significant dearth of pitching in the Braves lower levels. Legitimately, Allard before he even pitches is probably the 2nd or 3rd best prospect they have in the lower minors relative to pitchers.

Bridges says without the back injury, there's no chance Allard would have been available at pick 14.

Allard's injury isn't serious.

Braves picked high school left-handed pitcher Kolby Allard with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2015 draft.
It can be argued that Allard has the highest ceiling among high school pitchers despite the fact he missed most of the spring due to a back injury. The 5-foot-11 southpaw features premium stuff, headlined by a mid-90s fastball, plus curveball and a relatively advanced changeup. Furthermore, the 17-year-old has an effortless delivery and already commands his stuff well. The UCLA commit appeared in only five games this spring for San Clemente HS (Calif.), striking out nine batters over seven scoreless innings. The recommended slot value for the No. 14 overall pick is $2,842,400.
