6/15/15: GDT - Atlanta Braves @ Boston Red Sox

I'd still rest him.

CJ to SS?

Kidding.

Oh, so you want that kind of entertainment huh? It's a comedy of errors, what range the new Braves shortstop has!

Y'all thought Garrett "Two Step" Anderson was bad in LF, wait till you see Chris Johnson try to play shortstop! :)

Hes been impressive, probably due for some regression.

But he makes pitches.

Yea he isn't this good, though he does have a good sinker with movement. Plus it's not like he wasn't doing this in AAA too. He was 2-0 and had a 1.33 ERA in his 5 starts in AAA.

BTW, my boy Wandy continues to do very well with Texas (and I'd contend he'd be doing even better in the NL facing pitchers instead of the DH). We'd be in first place right now even with Fredi and our bad bullpen with a rotation of Miller, Wood, Teheran, Perez and Wandy IMO. In other words, if we'd not went with Stults over Wandy as we did.

You were right on Wandy, '76. He's one of those guys whose charms aren't obvious until you've left him in your rotation for a month and he's given you 40 solid innings and kept you in all six games he started. A spring training showdown is not what he needed. He needed a fifth starter job and the ball.

The whole theme of the night was baseball in Curacao/Aruba featuring Bogaerts and Simmons, so they had interviews with both of them, and a live interview with Andruw. They went down to Curacao and interviewed people down there that knew them both. It was actually pretty good what I saw. I usually expect a ESPN game with the Sox to be a homer Sox game. They asked Andruw who his favorite CF's are right now (defensively) and he said Adam Jones and McCutcheon.

I could understand passing on Wandy. But for Stults? gmafb
