He definitely will have less fWAR per caught stealing than Justin.
He needs to work on his crossover step. It seems that he doesn't get good acceleration.

All joking aside, I'm on team Jace. If your stolen base percentage is your biggest problem, then you're in good shape.
No doubt. Kid should be our second baseman for quite some time. May even be an extent-tion in the near future.
I admitted several times I had no real opinion on Hanson because from watching him live I couldn't see anything.
I rarely say anything about a pitcher if I have nothing to say. Minor for example almost certainly has something wrong with his mechanics because he's had shoulder issues. There's a handful of guys who I've said have great mechanics and most aren't playing now. And when you're dealing with something like mechanics where a hundreth of a second can be the difference between good and bad, sometimes you have to go to the super slow motion or ideally, frame by frame because frame by frame lets you really see everything. Only pitchers I've said seem to have good mechanics out there now (IIRC) are Price, King Felix, and Verlander. And with them it's mainly cause of their health. Verlander has something going wonky lately though. Not sure what. May be mechanics, may be hitters being used to him, may be in between his ears. Velocity is still there though.
Zeet, you are my little bro that I love.
Speaking of Justin, he's having a season much like the ones we were accustomed to. Three weeks ago he looked like he was on pace to hit 35 home runs and have an all around career season. Today, his numbers are right in line with what he did in Atlanta.
I can't quite think of another hitter that would oscillate as much between red fire hot and ice blue cold as much as him.
Andruw was like that. Maybe not to the degree that Justin is though.
Era's be damned. Andruw is a better hitter than Justin.
It's a shame how criminally underrated he was.
He smiled when he K'd. He was the original Heyward and not caring about baseball.
If you couldn't see the flaw in Tommy Hanson's mechanics when he was pitching live or on TV, you're zeets.
Minor I've always felt was a matter of time. Teheran is due for shoulder problems soon.
Not sure why we would think that. Ever since Freddi was sent to the principals office and played Jace everyday he has been awesome. From the point on he is pacing at around a 5WAR season.
Look at his minor league stats. That's how you'll tell.
Look at the projections, they all tell the same story. He's likely headed for some regression. He is his best case scenario, and while there is the chance he could keep it up at that level, what are the odds of that happening?
Thats just a safe response. Because even if he doesn't regress than you will say he is just an outlier. Just admit that you were wrong about Jace and move on sir.
What's there to admit I was wrong about? I figured he'd be about a 90-95 wRC+ player with good defense. He's exceeded it offensively, He isn't likely to continue that.
His BABIP is way too high, and his power is a bit too high. They'll both liekly come down.
Please tell me why his power is a bit too high?
You realize that you said early in the year that he is a worse version of TLS right?
No I said offensively he's like TLS without his BABIP skills and has worse power. Defensively I said he'd be better and in the base paths he'd be better.
As far as why. Look at the minors. His minor league career iso was .124, the only levels he showed power were A+ and AAA. That is the key to his overall numbers. Cal and PCL are 2 of the most offensive and power friendly leagues out there and often inflate those numbers.
And what is the last tool to typically develop?
