Around Baseball 2015 Edition

I have to admit. I was a bit premature when I said that I didn't think Heyward was going to get a 150 million dollar contract.

Please stay healthy J Hey. I need you to price yourself out of St. Louis.

He's going to get a big contract. I suspect he ends the season with a WRC+ around 120 with plus plus defense that equals out to a 4-5 WAR player. Cards will likely do their best to retain him imo.

Well his power has rebounded this year (contrary to the narrative that even I fell victim to believing).

Not counting tonight, he has had a 313/352/478 batting line since May 1st.

He would look great in RF with Markakis in LF next year. He's honestly the best possible player we could target next winter. I'm afraid those bridges were burned however.

It's ridiculous the amount of people wanting Heyward to fail just so we can 'win' the trade.

I don't want him to fail and never have. But what's the point about posting every homer he hits? That sounds to me like it's someone just trying to show their A$$ and say, look, the Heyward trade sucked after all. There's zero point in a post like that.

You must understand that BRules only purpose on these boards is to troll.

You deemed it bad after an hour. You're such a Heyward homer you can't even give it a chance.

There's a difference between a fan saying "Bad trade" because they wouldn't have done it and the trade actually being a bad trade.

People saying its a good trade because Shelby was great for 2 months, isn't the same as "Heyward Homers" saying it's bad because we think Heyward is a 6-7 WAR player, just entering his prime.

There is a world where the Braves extend Heyward and he carries the Braves as their next franchise player the rest of his career. In that world this would be a bad trade.

I dont believe that world exists as the Braves could not have extended that size of a contract to a player who has shown the amount of inconsistent that Heyward has shown.

313/352/478

That's Heyward slash line since May 1

And the thought that people were rooting for him to fail is manufactured by Heyward homers with hurt pride. We never wanted him to fail. But we are happy with the trade. You guys are too sensitive and are assuming things that aren't true.

Heyward is not a franchise player. That's silly. At this point at least.

All I did was post that Heyward hit another homer, bro. Clearly certain people feel the need to rush and jump and post things about the trade....not sure why that is..............

There's also a world where we sign him in the offseason.

We have to grade the trade for what it was and not for what it could have been.

Yah... Your motives have always been pretty transparent.
