Yeah that's why he has a career 116 WRC+. He only hits well certain times of the year.
Got a month-by-month breakdown of that over his career?

I get supporting the trade the Braves made. I'm one of the biggest. But this idea that Jason is not a really good player is crazy.
It is funny how you and the other Heyward homers spin stats to make him look better than he is.
Jason Heyward career wRC+ by month
MAR/APR 100
MAY 112
JUN 122
JUL 115
AUG 139

And an OPS under .800 the last 3 years, this year included.

Two things. OPS is an obsolete stat. It gives too much credit to slugging and not enough to OBP. Secondly, stating a raw number is pointless considering this is a much lower run scoring environment then 10 years ago. This is why we use league and park adjusted stats.
How am I making him look better than he is? If you and others can talk about how bad he sucked in April then why can't I and others talk about how good he has been playing since then?
So my stat doesnt mean anything, but yours does, got it.

Hes not that good, and not as good as he's hit as of late, but he'll be well compensated money wise by some team this winter.
Well yeah, when the one you use isn't as valuable.
The purpose of stats isn't to measure dicks. It's to tell truth about value. The statistics community moved on from OPS long ago because the acknowledgment that OBP should be weighted more so than slugging.
And he's not as bad as he was in April. Cool story bro.
I mean it has no context. You say he doesn't have an 800 OPS. Okay? IF the league average OPS is 700 and his OPS is 780. Then yea he doesn't have an 800 OPS. It doesn't tell us how good he is or not. An 800 OPS in 2015 is not equal to what it was in 2005. Which is why league and park adjusted stats are necessary. And again OPS is not weighted properly. WOBA and WRC+ are much better stats to use.
Heyward's OBP is .315, so i guess he sucks?
Sure they are, Bill James
No ****, if you could comprehend what i said, thats i wrote.
