The team never had a chance to be whole with Kanter. I'm going to take the stats last year with a grain of salt.

It's funny, if this was the Knicks doing this he would be trashing them and saying everything we are saying

Do I go out of my way to bash the Knicks? I commended them for the their draft immediately.

The Thunder are in a unique position because they have 1 of the 2 or 3 bigs that can be an elite rim defender while being a stretch player on offense. It allows them to do things that not every team can do.

He won't be a max player a year from now. Thats an irrelevant talking point.

Kanter already looks tremendous on offense. He just needs help on the other end to mask his obvious deficiencies.

A 17 million a year player shouldn't require Kevin Durant to look good.

This has nothing to do with the Knicks draft, this is....if you switch the name from OKC to NYK then you'd be killing the move.
 
Kanter isnt worth the max, but.

He never played with KD, so its hard to tell how he would do with the whole team there.

Cap is going up, gotta make KD happy.

His defense is terrible but hes young.

And they traded a 1st, and Reggie for him, so yeah.

They havent had a low post threat like him ever, yes his defense is awful, horrible but he was consistently putting up 18-20/10 every night, not too many of those players in the league.

Given they traded Reggie, and a 1st, they dont have much of a choice but to keep him, even if they maxed him.

Draymond Green is gonna get a max deal, or right around the same as Kanter.

So is TT and all he can do is rebound.

He's a net negative......he could score 30 a game, he's still a net neg.

That makes no sense for the 200th time. Kanter has nothing to do with KD leaving or staying....sign Kostos/Biyombo/Lopez/etc for the MLE and you're team is better than if you sign Enes.

Draymond is way better than Kanter. This isn't even close. Draymond is a complete opposite player to Kanter.

Tristan shouldn't get the max either. He's getting the max because he's in LeBron's crew. If that helps you swallow the deal than I'm happy for you. It's still a ludicrous contract.
 
Koufos and Lopez are getting more than that.

Also as a taxpayer I'm pretty sure you can't offer the full MLE. So again, there isn't another option .
