Megatron would be doing Detroit a big favor if he retired... He's not worth what he's getting paid... his contract is untradeable. Detroit was actually pondering cutting him due to the large salary... but it'd probably make more sense to do it after 2016 rather than now.

I'd rather him retire as a Lion than see him play for someone else.

Having said that, I'll bet he plays for Det next season... then after that, who know... but there's no way we'll keep him on his existing contract

Exactly what have Dimitroff and Pioli done to justify them keeping their jobs? My God, the Falcons might as well fold. Don't even bother with the new stadium.

Playoff predictions:

Chiefs over Texans

Steelers over Bengals

Steelers over Patriots

Broncos over Chiefs

Steelers over Broncos

Seahawks over Vikings

Redskins over Packers

Seahawks over Cardinals

Panthers over Redskins

Panthers over Seahawks

Panthers over Steelers

I tend to agree with most of your predictions, which probably dooms them outright. :)

I do not think the Steelers will beat the Pats, though I think the Broncos will, then the Panthers winning the SB, unless Cam fails to duck one time too many.

I liked their draft and offseason . Can't help Ryan took a nap during the middle of the season. I also didn't expect to be in playoff contention.

I think SB winner will be the winner of the Cards/Seahawks game. I like the Panthers but kinda think they've already peaked as a team this year. While they are a good team, they had a very fortunate schedule, getting to beat up on the two worst divisions in football in the AFC South and the NFC East.

If the Steelers can make it though the the gauntlet in the AFC however, I like them a lot.

There's no such thing as a perfect system. SOS would be a huge factor in that top 12, how would you determine what teams you'd be playing?

Keep a natural rival that a team plays every season. Alternate home and away each year. No rematches in the regular season. 16 different opponents each season would result in playing the entire league every two seasons. Exception being the natural rival in the second season to make up the 16th game.
