He's such a vile man.

It's almost like Mitt is employed by Donald here. All the Donald has to do is get up and say "We had a perfect chance to make Obama a one-term President and Mitt (and his great team headed up by Karl Rove) crapped the bed."

Ohhhhhhhh boy. This is going to be absolutely crazy.

Again, might work, but who comes out of the convention. If it's someone who Trump has already beaten, the cry of the "stolen convention" would resound throughout the land. I don't know who would be an "out of the box" candidate. Ryan?

I wouldn't put it past Trump to endorse Hillary in that scenario (which Hillary would likely refuse). As in the third party effort, I think a totally out-of-control Republican convention would make it difficult for the Republicans to win the big prize in November much like a totally out-of-control convention made it difficult for the Democrats in 1968 (which also featured a third party candidate).

I think the Republican party would rather lose to Hillary than win with Trump, IMO.

It would almost have to be Paul Ryan, though he doesn't strike me as someone who really wants to run.

If there really were a contested convention, I would love to see a push made for Rand Paul for the pure theatre of it all.

Regardless of whether Trump runs third-party assuming he gets pushed out, I don't think the Republicans should concern themselves with that. They should not just hand over the keys if the majority don't believe in Trump's ability to carry the party.

Hillary could still very well beat Trump regardless of if the party is united behind him, and in that case Republicans have to keep control of Congress. Better for those vulnerable senators running for re-election to distance themselves from Trump.

The Mitt that was governor of Massachusetts might have been a fairly solid president, but he was not believable as soon as he ran for president. He flipped on just about every issue. It was the John Kerry "I actually vote for the war before I voted against it" on steroids.

He's another one in a growing line of people who simply do not get that Trump and Trump supporters couldn't care less that he hasn't offered up any kind of specific proposals of what he would do as president.

Tonight's debate is going to be awesome. Kasich should ask to moderate it so he can actually get to talk.

You guys think Paul Ryan is going to Frank Underwood his way to the White House? Trump will run as an independent if it's a brokered convention.

I have to admit that there is a part of me that wants Trump to win. Kind of like the Joker wanting to watch the world burn I think. I really want to see what happens if he's president.

Looking at (R) nomination rules, there is a clear path to a brokered convention. Trump might have delegate votes but has no direct influence over the rules committee. This is just getting started
