The Don

Beyond that, it's insulting to the majority who are not racists but have legitimate policy gripes. Obama's ideas and actions shouldn't be insulated from criticism because he's not white.

it's almost like all the rhetoric of the last 7 years that wasn't really based in fact to hate the man

has come to the boiling point where we are now that you have to say the words "it's insulting to the majority who are not racists but have legitimate policy gripes."

Yeah... bc George Bush never suffered from hateful rhetoric.

Those are people who have been convinced by Rush/Fox/etc. that blacks and liberals are their only problems. But at the heart of all bigotry is a fear there won't be enough of the pie to go around, more simply put, an unwillingness to share "the good life". Racism is believing blacks don't deserve the milk and honey of freedom. Many surely think this way, but I feel that idea sprouts straight from their own economic insecurity. I guess I'm saying racism comes from the fear of being the victims of racism.

Just so we're clear...when Bernie Sanders voted against immigration reform because he felt it would drive down wages for Americans, was he being bigoted and racist?

white men agree. Trumps appeal is not race targeted but a manifestation of the policies of the guy who won't show his birth certificate

Do I understand this right ?

But it's ok because Bush 43 said stupid **** everyother day and Ben Carson. Is well, Ben Carson

he had 30 people physically removed from a rally last week. All were peple of color.

I think that far different than comedians having a laugh over the clumsy candidacy of Ben Carson.

Poor George, stood up in the SOTU and unequically told the world a bald faced lie.

Do you really want to use him as your model of f as irness and civil justice ?

over 6,800 posts on a message board

acts like he doesn't have free time to do something

it's no use to try to converse with one on a topic if they think the hatred is in anyway equal between W and Obama

it's like trying to talk to people that think certain people are equal in awfulness no matter the political party

When Trump wants to build walls to keep out foreigners he's a racist.

When Bernie Sanders wants to keep out foreigners because he's afraid they'll depress wages of Americans, he's just looking out for the little man.

When aces and sturg say both if these guys are ****ing idiots and point out they have a lot more in common than either of their supporters would like to admit, well, they're probably racists too because why not? And they're probably closet Trump fanboys because..?

Do I have that right?

I susepct you won't get an answer on Bernie's position... You never seem to.

I'm still waiting for the lefties to address your very legitimate question about Bernie's grasp about the min wage and overseas trade agreements...

I'm quite sure he was being a politician. I hope you aren't claiming to know why a given senator votes yay or nay.

No, but the left seems to be doing just that, aren't they? When the other guy says/does something he's racist; when my guy supports essentially supports a similar position wrapped in different packaging, oh, he's just being a politician.

Supply and demand only exists when it's convenient, apparently.

I will try to answer the Bernie/Trump question when I get to my computer.

I'm sure Bernie had legitimate non-racist reasons (that I would disagree with) for supporting what he supported.

Just like I'm sure Trump and his supporters have legitimate non-racist reasons (that I also disagree with) for supporting what they support.

My original point was that writing off positions as racist, when the actual racists are a very small percentage, is not only lazy, like BB argues, but it insults those who have actual gripes.
