Georgia Religious Freedom Bill

I'm curious. If you say a transgender man should be able to use the women's restroom why shouldn't he be allowed to play on women sports teams? there's no in between. He's either a women or a man.
Apparently, there's plenty of 'in between'.

Gay waitress in North Carolina receives Bible lecture on receipt instead of tip: 'There's a lot of hate in Charlotte right now'

A gay waitress in North Carolina received a Bible lecture — instead of a tip — from a diner earlier this week.

Alexandra Judd was shocked to see "lev 20.13," short for Leviticus 20:13, where the gratuity should have been while serving brunch at Zada Jane's Corner Cafe in Charlotte on Tuesday. The receipt also included the words "praying for you."

The King James Bible version of Leviticus 20:13 reads: "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

The incident comes just weeks after North Carolina passed its anti-LGBT House Bill 2 into law. The so-called "bathroom bill" forces people to use public restrooms or changing facilities of the "biological sex listed on their birth certificates." It was signed into law by Gov. Pat McCrory.

"There's a lot of hate in Charlotte right now," Judd told the Daily News on Friday.

The 20-year-old Judd remembers the two women at the table on Tuesday were both acting rude and ignoring her.

"They just wouldn't talk to me, wouldn't answer my questions," she said. "They were really off, it was just rude."

The women asked for separate checks, and one of them gave Judd a tip, albeit not a generous one. The other customer left the patronizing gratuity.

The shocked Judd angrily crossed out the name of the customer before posting the receipt on Facebook, so she is unsure of the woman's identity. She didn't tell them she was gay, but they must have just assumed, she said.

"I never thought people would discriminate against my sexuality that way," Judd said.

She won't let the discrimination deter her, but she's worried how it would affect someone else if it happened again.

"Suicide is so common with the LGBT community, especially with young people," she said. "People not as mentally strong as I am, something bad could happen."

The day after getting the "Bible tip," Judd participated in a rally in Charlotte to protest the anti-LGBT bill. She said it was peaceful and fun.

"It was actually amazing," she said. "People trying to make a difference and fighting back."

This is obviously fake, just like that story last year where it came out that women who pulled the same stunt was a fraud.

Libs don't care. They are lemmings, if you post something and it goes viral it embolden them.

They are so focus on religious things it makes me laugh. I don't care about religion, I do care about LGBT forcing their philosophy on people. Why those who are religious would never sue, threaten or anything unlike them.

My wife won't photograph gays in compromising positions. Some said that is not okay but some say they want her pics without doing it. She was upfront, only a few (2/14) were upset but most want her pics anyway. This is what I love about her. Is she worried of getting sued, nope, not at all.

On the other hand, as a mix couple we get harassed at restaurants in town. We just don't go back to them because they have every right to give me crappy service or food and I know why. The stickler is I can get them back with negative advertisement and it does help I have a coworker husband is one of the lead advertisement agencies in town.

I could sue for discrimination and cry to the media, but why? That is their choice. Crappy service and make me feel unwelcome is their right.

So to all the anti-gay establishments, just give crappy service and you can't be sued. My wife does it and she tells them upfront she will not give her all in your pics and will not do kissing and stuff like that because if they post stuff she does not allow, she can sue them, it is in the contract. Their contracts are very good and people find out (Bridezillas for instance) going after photography people, you will lose.

I am not anti-gay, so I give two schits about people who they want to bang, just don't look my way.

Would they not have a valid point? If you say this man is woman enough to use the women's restroom wouldn't you also have to let them play on women sports teams?
Yes, it's weird, but this is what freedom looks like.

The law is stupid and protects no one. A pervert can always dress up like a woman and enter a lady's restroom. But trans people are not perverts in that way. lol

Hmmm. Maybe we should apply that template to other issues of social justice over the last century and decide which ones would benefit us to roll back. Any starters?

Whether a law is current or not does not make it morally right or wrong. I was merely stating a fact, not making a moral pronouncement, though I do think homosex and heterosex outside of wedlock to both be immoral and ultimately harmful to those who commit it. And I fully recognize that puts me at odds with the popular view.

Address all the other pressing matters of biblical sexual ethics that require immediate legislative remedy. You've suggested that I'm off base with this. I don't really understand. Your response is that it's in reaction to a political agenda being pushed by the LGBT lobby.

Sure, there is an active advocacy effort on that front. But there's also a shift in the way society considers these issues, as there has been with others, and laws are being changed to reflect it.

So why aren't there more visible efforts to legislate matters of conscience for Christians involving adultery, divorce, or fornication?

As for the City of Charlotte, I dunno. Seems like the legislature's response to a pretty modest issue of local preference was a massive rollback of legal remedies for all kinds of commercial and workplace discrimination.

I think you can or maybe even do understand. I'll readily admit that some opposition to a very active LGBT advocacy is the result of the "ick factor" (or whatever you'd like to call it - maybe "cooties"). Some is bigotry. And that when it is it is often a biblically consistent opposition. Sadly. Some (many) have a very lax view as to heterosexual fornication and adultery. Some (many) don't view marriage and divorce as I think they should. I get that. I really do. And I find it lamentable.

But I think what we see in the present, and on-going debate, is a one more domino falling. It is the current battle in the sexual revolution. Plenty applauded it (like yourself). Others don't and all others that don't aren't basing that out of an "ick factor."

Do a lot of girls take showers in public bathrooms? Women's restrooms have stalls, so I don't see a problem there.

What's actually worse in a woman's locker room, a lesbian with female plumbing ogling other women, or a trans-girlie man who likes men?

I'm not sure not having been in them, but I wonder how say public showers at say swimming pools are?

I'm not for either situation actually.

Also according to modern paradigms of sexuality the sexual orientation of a Trans isn't of necessity homosexual (biologically). A biological male, who identifies as a female, could be oriented toward men or women or both.

Also, I don't think the psychological science is settled on whether transexualism is a good thing or not. It seems that the current legislative advocacy for it is ahead of that and has already assumed the outcome.

"My wife won't photograph gays in compromising positions "

ok

Should I shout to the media about how restaurants treat me and my wife when we go out to dinner or do what LGBT do and sue them for discrimination?

Yes or No answer please.

The Minnesota State High School League has developed a policy for athletic eligibility for students transitioning from male to female and it's a very rigorous policy with a very high bar for participation. The student must have a diagnosis from a psychiatrist and have been undergoing hormonal therapy for a considerable period of time to eliminate advantages of muscle mass (and for all intents and purposes be chemically castrated).

Girls are allowed to participate on boys' teams without transitioning if there is not a comparable girls' team for girls to join. We have had several girls participate in wrestling over the years (that was settled almost 30 years ago).

Obviously, the bathroom issue is more complicated because it doesn't involve psychiatrists, blood tests, and participation in sports. There is no real obstacle for a non-genuine transgendered person from using a restroom not intended for their birth sex. But like zito said, there was nothing stopping people from doing this prior to all this hubbub (and my guess is it happened prior to all of this hubbub). In order to protect people, I still think the best way to go is to add jail time for anyone trying to do something untoward while dressed as the sex other than their birth sex and in the bathroom not assigned to their birth sex. That would include a former Twin Cities' female sports reporter giving head to a Twins' pitcher in the men's restroom in a bar not far from the Metrodome that I used to drink at (but, of course, she was never charged).

Europe has predominantly unisex bathrooms and a lot of gas stations here as well. Not too hard to have one. Wrigley well that abomination unless it's changed would be a severe issue.

I know this wasn't intended for me but I prefer the Rosa Parks approach when at all possible. If something needs to be changed it's just best (again when possible) to make it like their own idea, which changing for monetary reasons would do. When the government forces change, which sometimes it has to, to me just isn't ever as smooth or as efficient. That's just me though.

Welcome to more single stall, unisex, bathrooms, and longer lines outside with guys waiting... :-)
