The concept of gun control waiting periods are pretty much the first step.

The process of reconditioning the populace to vote too ban the majority of legal gun sales has been in place for years now. They are indocrinating kids in schools to eventually vote away their rights. Thats what this "zero tolerance" bull**** is all about.

IF Merrick is confirmed to the Court your guns will be taken away. Merrick is a gun confiscator. So I guess technically you're correct it would be Obama taking your guns away.

Good luck taking them away from the felons and criminals that have them.

Chicago is in the top 5 most strictest places on Earth for guns and yet, shootings everyday. The police refuse to confiscate their guns on the risk of their lives. So the good people will get their guns confiscated and there will be no more hunting, so only the criminals will have them.

Just more fear mongering, it'll never happen though I wish we could do a better job of vetting people who want to buy them. We need to stop the aholes from getting or keeping them and quit riling up law abiding people with this crap. You know there are still thousand of Texans who are convinced Obama's about to invade Texas, right?

The funny thing to me about gun control nutjobs is the delusional idea that criminals won't be able to commit gun crimes if there are laws.... da fuq?

No armed robber or murderer/rapist ever said "you know, I'd like to go do some crimes, but it's illegal for me to purchase a handgun!"

lol, it isn't a straw man, it is a firm truthful statement. just because it bweaks you widdle heart doesn't make it not true. Criminals do not care about laws, and violating a gun law so they can go commit violent crimes is not a deterrent.

you want gun control? then do it the proper way. Submit an amendment repealing the 2nd amendment, get it through congress and have it ratified by 3/4ths of the states. Anything else is unconstitutional and/or legislative activism. (and, funny enough, gun control doesn't make violent crime better, it tends to make it worse)

guns don't bother me. i own a gun but don't let any of that get in the way of whatever your attempted point is
 
No, I think keeping legal purchases out of the hands of mentally ill people is a good thing. What I am opposed to are bans, limits and restrictions placed upon the general public as if we have to be babysat by the nanny state. We have a 2nd amendment which allows us to own guns, IMO, any attempted law restricting that by any fed state or local legislation is a constitutional violation. If gun control advocates want to play, they should play by the rules and attempt to repeal the 2nd amendment. But they know that will never happen so they try and use judicial and legislative activism to circumvent the constitution and I find that tyrannical, deplorable and illegal.
 
We put limits on all the other ones without repealing any of the others

So weird to have a stance that is so extreme when it comes to one of them

Using the word tyranny for any of the gun laws that are in this country.
